Urgent! Read this article excerpt:

"Delegates for GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum have filed the minimum legal number of petition signatures to appear on the ballot in just four of Illinois’ 18 available congressional districts."

"In 10 others, delegates who filed signatures came far short of the 600 required to appear on the ballot, a review of the signatures found. They didn’t file any delegates in four districts."

"BUT IF NO ONE OFFICIALLY CHALLENGES THEIR LACK OF SIGNATURES BY A DEADLINE FRIDAY, THE DELEGATES WILL APPEAR ON THE BALLOT ANYWAY."

We need an official challenge apparently!! Somebody get on top of this. Spread the word. Email the campaign.

This would make 4 states Santorum isn't on, which severly lessons his credibility as a serious candidate goign into SC.

No no no no. Santorum is TOAST. This would be a PR nightmare for the campaign. You NEVER oppose people getting on the ballot. It is a politically TOXIC position.

Santorum can still do well in S Carolina. Do not underestimate!!!

I agree that it might be a toxic position, but do not base it on the fact that Santorum is done. He got a large funding bump from Iowa!

Also hypocritical because Ron Paul has often complained about ballot access issues when he was running in LP

I think it's best to let the campaign know about it and let them determine what to do with it. They have the experience.

Does the campaign have to do it? Can some random person from Illinois do it?

Citizens can challenge in Illinois.

Maybe some Illinois people could form a PAC "concerned citizens for Romney" or something and then challenge.

.....

and then if it is possible 1 person goes there and objects. Someone who is not active Ron Paul supporter.

Santorum is gone anyway....no nee to worry.

Sorry, but if you need 600 signatures to be on the ballot, then:-

"BUT IF NO ONE OFFICIALLY CHALLENGES THEIR LACK OF SIGNATURES BY A DEADLINE FRIDAY, THE DELEGATES WILL APPEAR ON THE BALLOT ANYWAY."

Then what is the point of having the rule in the first place. It would NOT just be redundant but also, on its face illegal.

You really need to 'original source' this before posting this on the forum.

STOP blindly believing what anyone tells you. Verify 'original source'.

I hope the delegateswho got the required signatures are aware and do it.. otherwise it's a lot of wasted effort for them in collecting the sigs in the first place

Citizens can challenge in Illinois. There we go. There's the solution. I'm sure we can find one (1) supporter somewhere in Illinois!

YOu don't want it to be a supporter. You want it to be somebody totally unconnected to Paul.

Get one of the lesser known candidates that are trying to get on the ballot (or are on the ballot) to challenge. Like the Vermin Supreme of Illinois for example.
