Had to say I was surprised to read this. We'll have to leave issue of Iraq bloodshed forgiveness in the hands of God but this is encouraging news:

Bolton changes mind on Ron Paul: 'would seriously consider' serving administration

Washington Post (blog) - ‎Jan 10, 2012‎

By Allen McDuffee In an apparent change of heart, former US ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said he would “seriously consider” serving under Ron Paul after previously saying that Paul's foreign policy is worse than President Obama's.

Of course he would. He wants to keep his job. Too late, Bolton. You and your kind are DONE.

If Bolton ever served under a Paul presidency that would mean that President Paul would have betrayed half of his voting base overnight. I don't believe it's possible. Paul would never accept a neocon like Bolton into his cabinet.

I speak rashly. I actually think there's a place for Bolton inside the Whitehouse. He can come in for work on Tuesdays and Fridays, the days the garbage-men pick up the trash.

Hard to disagree with this.

Maybe "kiss up" mode is what drives some of the neocons.

There might be a place for him as a bathroom attendant. Beyond that, I highly doubt Bolton would ever have a job in a Paul administration

Bolton is the biggest chicken hawk there is! No way Ron will appoint him to the DoD!
How about reading the Constitution before making bold statements like that on national TV, Johnny? All you did was just tell neo-cons to start considering Ron's foreign policy, and nothing for your career...

Neocons must be playing the kill them with kindness tactic.

They must have noticed that any attention, including negative attention, benefits Ron Paul.

What turn around? He said he would serve under Paul to try and convince him that we need endless wars and intervention abroad.

The only job in the Paul white house there is for Bolton is cleaning the presidential toilet.

Neo cons realize they haven't succeeded in infiltrating the Paul movement, so JB is testing the waters.

Update 11:24: Bolton emails: “Although the likelihood of such a scenario is remote, I would serve to try to persuade Ron Paul toward a more realistic posture in defending the United States and its worldwide interests.”

Translation from neocon doublespeak: "I would encourage Paul to bomb Iran, bomb Pakistan, bomb Syria, bomb North Korea, bomb the world, etc etc."

Not what I would call "waking up."

As others have pointed out, he endorsed Romney just yesterday. He's simply fishing for a job. He belongs in jail or exiled, not in any position of power or influence.

They are just listening to Palin about not continuing to alienate us.

Paul would never have Bolton in his cabinet. This is a non-issue.
