My question is does he just want Ron Paul's votes or does he want Ron Paul. I think he just wants Ron Paul's votes as he kind of hints at towards the end.

Who is the interviewer btw?

Yeah and Levin isn't too happy with DeMint saying that Paul's domestic policies need to be embraced. I lol'd when I heard that a little while ago.

I read the text of the interview earlier today. While the praise is nice, I certainly got the feeling that he's more of a Romney supporter (or perhaps just resigned to the poster boy at the very least) who really just understands that Ron Paul followers aren't just going to go away, and wants the party to try and appease us.

This is good, hopefully RP campaign is in touch with him for an endorsement ahead of SC.

Things are changing. Just read that even John Bolton has changed his mind and would "seriously consider" serving in Ron Paul administration. RP is walking talking example of leadership.

I have had a couple of very short conversations with Jim DeMint over the years. In his core understanding of things, he stands, I believe, quite close to Ron Paul; however, he knows the price of betraying a man like Romney and the Republican establishment. Hopefully, his character will triumph over his political instincts to survive at any cost.

He has lready said that he isn't running for reelection. He's got nothing to lose.

Yeah I wish he would just take a chance and give Ron Paul the nod. he could always endorse Romney or the eventual winner to save cred. after the primaries were over, but take a chance people.

Jim Demint would have millions of new freedom loving people to support him in his life if he endorsed Ron

I don't think Jim Demint is planning to endorse Ron Paul. Endorsers do not qualify their support by talking about their disagreements with the endorsee, even if they have plenty of them. Instead, they coordinate their announcement with the campaign for optimal positive impact.

He's pimping Ron Paul big time on CNN, Erin Burnett's show.

He said Ron Paul's philosophy needs to be at the core of the Republican Party.

Jim DeMint is at a major decision point in his life right now. He is choosing who he really is. Is he establishment, or is he a friend of liberty? The time of choosing has come.

Pray for him.
