I used to love this guy. Now I just get sick and tired of his demagoguery

So here's his latest ploy, challenging House/Senate Republicans to pay down debt, and he'll match dollar for dollar.

I think it might be worthwhile for the campaign to add up all the money that RP has returned to the US Treasury by coming in *under budget* every single year he's been in Congress, and then demanding that Buffett immediately pay that amount to pay down the debt.

It would highlight Ron's fiscal conservatism and simultaneously call out this high-profile blowhard.

Its a brilliant idea. Campaign could add up all of the congressional budget money Ron Paul has returned + the PV of his Congressional Pension money he has passed up and go at this issue hard.

Warren Buffett is challenging the establishment Republicans to put their money where their mouth is, meanwhile there is one guy running for President who has done this his entire career.

This is a tremendous opportunity I think.

Yeah, it's a great way to highlight a side of RP's principles that many people do not know without seeming egotistical. :D

This is a great idea. Not too much work for the campaign either.

141,580 returned last year alone. Buffet might have to pony up 1 mil+

Buffett is ALL talk. Somebody should let him know that Ron has given back (what at least 500k) in congressional funds to help pay down the debt? Challenge him to give it to revpac.

he definitely would if we index it for inflation. :D

i wonder how much he gave up back in his first round (76-84). I'm thinking from 96-present, it'll be around $100k per year...

it could easily be between two and three million.

you know whoever writes his press releases can word it really well, too. "we would like to thank mr. buffett for his efforts to help pay down the debt."

Good idea. The right hates Buffet. Get this idea to Collins.
