Check out his tweets today. He's saying all sorts of good things about Ron Paul and hinting at an endorsement. At least it seems to me that he is hinting at an endorsement.

He's the guy that the SC political experts have said would be one of the best SC endorsements.

Please consider sending him a short email of gratitude.

It takes a lot of courage for people in office to go out on a limb and support Ron and economic freedom/civil liberties.

That seals it, if he's learning about von Mises he'll be in RP's camp if he isn't already.

He's a SC state senator, had no vote on NDAA

Aye or Nay for NDAA?

He's not in Congress; he's a state senator.

Aye or Nay for NDAA?

He probably hasn't thought much about it considering he's a state senator. Althought I'd love to see more state officials criticizing and even opposing the Federal government's laws as being unconstitutional.

Georgia had a state representative Bobby Franklin who wanted to put a tax on the Federal Reserve bank branch in Atlanta, 'cause he couldn't abolish it, lol. Unfortunately, he passed away last year.

This is the man that many pundits said could be one of the most influential endorsements in the state. He has a bright future. I was wondering where he had gone!

One of his tweets keyed in on this article. Want to read this one.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0112/71308.html

Mittens has 5 problems. I, myself, would say way more than 5.

The more I read, the more convinced I am, that they are aware we hold the power this go around. They are scared as heck, and know we are not going to buy their BS attempts to play us to go away.

A brokered convention does not help us, as they will agree to some platforms to please us and never implement them after the election. Just IMHO.

Think Louisiana and Nevada 2008.

Go for the win.

Saw some guy on MSNBC claiming that there was an organized anti Paul movment in SC. If so I would guess it´s been created of the hate spewed on certain blogs and talkshows.
This may well bee an organized attempt at damage control from more sensible people in the party. Pointing out common ground before the party breaks. Remember that the Israel attack add was also recently pulled back.

Well, he's certainly no Mitten's friend:

“This piece raises, once again, doubts I have long held regarding Romney’s view of the proper role of the state in the economy,” Davis wrote. “He supported interventionist policies in lending, TARP and ethanol subsidies, and he seems to support currency manipulation instead of sound money. Do we really know what we would get with a President Romney?”

Davis hasn’t endorsed any of the Republican presidential contenders, but his commentary on the 2012 GOP nominating fight is widely followed – and not just by South Carolinians. Last year, The Politico named him one of its “50 politicos to watch,” while a CNN story referenced him as a “rising star.”

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, run neck-and-neck with President Obama in a general-election matchup, according to a new CBS News poll released late on Monday that shows the two front-runners in Tuesday's New Hampshire GOP primary running stronger against the president than their fellow Republicans.

He sounds like a great guy. Said he is leaning Paul, doesn't care about newsletters, likes non-interventionism, doesn't like 9/11 or Iran rhetoric. When asked if endorsement would hurt him politically, he said he doesn't base his endorsement on what hurts or helps, because you lose credibility when you do that.

If he endorses Paul, I'm sure we can guarantee reelection for him.

More updates:

Loopholes, subsidies, kickbacks -- enough. Politicians are not investment brokers. America is a great because its constitution protects liberty and allows us to pursue happiness.
I think that eliminates the chances of a Santorum endorsement.

He also links to this article about DeMint/Paul: Sen. DeMint: ‘I really don’t want Ron Paul to drop out’

C (http://dailycaller.com/2012/01/12/sen-demint-i-really-dont-want-ron-paul-to-drop-out/#ixzz1jLk7fUwo)onsidering Ron's recent surge in SC polls, I think this endorsement is even more likely. Heck, if we see Ron rise to the top.. we might even see a DeMint endorsement. Doubtful, though.

For anyone who didn't read the article, this has nothing to do with Demint. It's Tom Davis who has been teasing us with an endorsement for months!
