That is the REAL question cause he can still beat Romney if he gets a lot of Delegates. Does anyone know?

there are only 12 delegates total. But we should tie up with Romney soon when we start counting in super delegates with Rand Paul and other senators

One thing they changed this year is that states are not winner take all in the delagate count. That can be a big help to Ron Paul. Delegates for Iowa haven't been chosen yet- they for some reason wait until shortly before the convention to make their selections.

There are plenty of WTA or semi-WTA states still in play.

One thing I did not realize last night is that CNN is rounding... bigtime.

Neither Newt nor Santorum got 10% or more. Ron dropped a lot more after I went to bed :(

Ron only got 2.74 delegates (rounded to three).

Romney got 4.71 delegates (rounded to five; the other two explained in a moment).

Huntsman got 2.03 delegates (rounded to two).

The remaining two delegates go to the winner of the contest, which was Romney, so he walked off with 7 instead of the 5.

* * *

In Iowa, we have a fair number of confirmed delegates to the COUNTY CONVENTIONS (not the National Convention) who will have influence in determining the final selections for the GOP National Convention vote that determines the nominee. These County delegates were selected the night of the Caucus. From limited information available, and news footage, it seems like the Santorum people were largely recent converts who had no idea they needed to stick around to become delegates. This breaks in Romney and Paul's favor.

Yeah last night I say Ron getting 10 total and Romney like 21 or 22. Santorum was the closest to us with 8. If we can come in at least third in SC, it looks like Santorum may be the one to drop off in SC. That would mean that we could still be in second if Newt doesn't get first or at least a large enough distance from us.

Paul needs to win California (close to 200 delegates) and Texas (155)

Tejas shouldnt be a problem, California, however, has become extremely socialistic in its nature.
