Currently: Mitt 36%, Ron 25%, John 17%

I am very satisfied - I hadn't seen Paul poll over 24%, the most recent poll I looked at put him at 18% (http://www.youtube.com/redirect?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.suffolk.edu%2Fimages%2 Fcontent%2FFINAL_NH_Marginals_Jan_10.pdf&session_token=gb8471isZ7BPUPTxaE3Cj2UyWoN8MTMyNjMz NTA3NEAxMzI2MjQ4Njc0), and I was concerned there would be a Huntsman "surge" as he was already in the 14 to 17 percent range and people were saying he could take second. Paul is also getting a lot of media coverage, and there were no surprises from any other candidates.

Yes, but I did think the "live free or die" state would be even smarter than 24%.

Yes. Signs are very encouraging.

Romney has dumped MILLIONS into New Hampshire, as well being the "local boy next door" as former governor of Massachusetts. Ron Paul's very solid second place showing is fantastic, especially in the face of the advertising blitz that Romney had been pouring on for months.

I think the real surprise for Romney is going to be in South Carolina. Watch for Paul to beat Romney and establish himself as the frontrunner.

Is this just high hopes, or is that actually being expected?

I believe as we get away from the main primaries we'll have a two-man race and it will force Ron Paul to get more time plus when Romney gets less attention out of primary time we will be raking in the delegates!!!

Does anyone know how many delegates that Ron Paul got?

I think it was a great turnout, but honestly, I won't be satisfied until I see a 1st place finish, somewhere, in some state. Especially now that it is becoming clearly a 2 man race. There are still 48 states, plus territories. If a 2 man race were to start today, Ron Paul would need to finish in 1st place in at least 20 states to rack enough delegates to force a run off at the convention.

So, while I am happy with the huge increase of support from the last 4 years, I am in no way shape or form satisfied.

I'm sorry, but I put no.
I'm not happy until he's in first place.
I'm sorry, I just can't settle for second.

everything we did got a primetime speech covered by the mass media!!!
most likely the N.H 12 delegates will go 5 to mitt, 4 to ron and 3 to jon!

I figured he would get second, I'm pissed John Huntsman is still in the race because you know if he had dropped out we would've got a very large portion of his votes.

Yup. He is increasing, not decreasing.

Not according to polling released by PPP that showed Romney as the second choice of Huntsman voters by a large margin.

More likely they're both former governors with "moderate" reputations.

I thought it was 1 delegate for every 10% increment for each candidate over 10%. Then the remainder dealt proportionately to the winners. So I think it should look like this:

Romney (39%)= 3 +3 = 6
Paul (23%)= 2 +2 = 4
Huntsman (17%)= 1 +1 = 2

(<10%) = Gingrich, Santorum, Perry = 0

the pseudo-con media is already spinning this as "it was the liberals who changed parties and voted for RP" and so on. NH was a victory, but not solid enough for a lot of self-styled "experts".
