It's been stuck at '2 of 301 Precincts Reporting - 1%' for ages.

When are they allowed to start giving real exit poll numbers?

Well, the first polls close at 7pm ET, but I believe it is considered bad practice to release any results before the final polls close at 8pm ET.
(Since results might sway the last voters).
So if the process has any dignity, they will wait until 8pm to start releasing results.
I can not attest to the process's dignity though.

Why not? Aren't the results usually pretty quick after the polls close?

Must not be much dignity then. Check out the map on this page.

I'm preparing myself for 3rd, just to temper expectations. Just one time though, I'd like to see the surprise, to see our fellow Americans stand up and claim back their liberty, just once!

That's still the midnight reporting.

Those are just the Dixville Notch midnight results.

Is that what the two gray areas on the map are? They are showing different results.
Edit: Hover your mouse pointer over the map.

Yeah

Oh okay.... I have to wonder about Dixville Notch. Do they just have their polls in the bar and have everybody vote at midnight?

Hard telling, but I wouldn't mind voting like that with an instant count.

Actually the results just went from .7% reporting to 1% so something must be new.

Wound be fun to do an independent count of the actual ballots to see if they match the results.

Oh man, this is it, this is what I've been wanting to see. Ron Paul can pull 25%, with such open hostility from the media, with no free-pass, he's doing it. I'm getting another beer!! Just awesome..
