If so, this is great news because Huntsman's "surge" is mostly due to democrats and independents. Since this "surge" is very recent, many who say they plan to vote on the phone in polls may not even be able to due to registration requirements.

Or can people register at the polling place like in Iowa?

I'm not sure if the pollsters are including democrats, but yes the deadline to switch to indy/repub was awhile ago.

As I know Independents can vote in New Hampshire in the primary. And there are almost 50 % of independent voters. So this isn't good news.

Registered Rs and indies can vote in the R primary. Registered Democrats must have "unregistered" some number of weeks before the primary.

they wouldn't be polling Dems. You had to change to undeclared by a bit back.
