Classy. RT @EliciaDover: Gingrich is not coming to the N.H. HQ tonight--too many Ron Paul & OWS protesters outside posing a security issue.

Anyone have the scoop on this?? Doesn't sound right or beneficial for us if true.

Update:
Found this hxxp://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/01/gingrich-cancels-n-h-headquarters-campaign-stop-for-security-issues

The Paul supporters were carrying signs and blasting over a loud speaker the Frank Sinatra song, “New York, New York,” replaced with “Ron Paul” lyrics, such as: “I’ll make a brand new start of it, with Ron Paul, Ron Paul.”

There was also a large, lighted projection against the building across the street from the Gingrich headquarters that flashed, “Ron Paul 2012,” in neon green. After online chatter began of Gingrich’s absence, Paul supporters tweeted that Gingrich believed Paul supporters were a security threat.

Assuming its true, who cares? I mean, Ron Paul supporters don't pose a risk in and of themselves. Our candidate supports non-violent protests and the very vast majority of his supporters do as well!

If you cant stand the heat, get away from the fire Newt!

Did you like my reply?

@EliciaDover Gingrich's issue is that he will never " secure" the nomination as a status quo Washington D.C. insider!

Mr. Gingrich is crashing in the polls and is being kicked to the curb by the Limbaugh type con-servatives so Mr. Gingrich is looking for scapegoats. Narcissist are NEVER personally responsible for anything that happens to them, someone else is ALWAYS at fault.

there is no security threat, Gingrich just wants to attack Paul by making his supporters look "Scary"

It seems ABC has already picked up the story and I am sure CNN has a news van on the way..

Good god...

Haha! I just saw them mention it on C-Span. He is on there now in Nashua.

Santorum was on before him and Ron Paul supporters were there too. He had a few camera people around him and you could hear Ron Paul chants in the background. Things like "Ron Paul gets more support from active duty military than any other candidate.

I support Gingrich's stance on not going into a place where you are not welcome.

This was a great non-interventionist move by Newt.

Result...no harm came to him or his staff.

I wonder what would have happened if his staff opened fire on the Ron Paul supporters...would there have been any blowback?

From the link in the OP:
A member of the Occupy protest who carried a megaphone and called himself Vermin Supreme played the “Chicken Dance” song on his loudspeaker and said he was a candidate for president as others members holding Occupy Wall Street signs cheered him on.

They just talked about this on NRA news. nranews.com. They didn't speak favorably of Paul's supporters. I haven't watched NRANews for quite some time, so I don't know if they have a trend of being anti-paul or what.

Yeah, he harassed Ron earlier today, too. He is a NH fixture, kinda. Not a security threat, but not presidential. Not Ron Paul supporters, either.

LOL Yes, he visited RP at Joe's cafe this am. Apparently he runs for every office in town. Vermin Supreme with the boot on his head now running for president of America.

I appreciate his honesty about the RP supporters. I doubt he had anything to fear from the occupy folks.

LOL. this will benefit us a lot more than hurt us. security threat? my ass. Newt was just scared of being seen in Paul territory. There's nothing illegal or threatening about being passionate in support of your candidate. He just knew he'd look bad and chickened out and people will know it. He's not gonna be able to spin this as "scary supporters". just listen to that song, it's got such a pleasant feel to it.

He's probably actually really scared of the Occupiers. He did say some pretty nasty stuff about them...
The worst he'd get from the Paul supporters is snowballs.

And then they try to turn it like we're vicious people...lol...yeah that's it.

1) People are wrongfully calling Ron Paul people from Newt's Headquarters.

2) We don't want to look like crazy assholes (again, after our appearance in NH 4 years ago). I don't know what has been going on down in NH, but hopefully it isn't scary chaos.

I dunno man, laying out the Grinch as a chickenhawk, and is primary beef with Paul was that the media was trying to take him down? It's looking a lot to me like Vermin Supreme actually likes Paul. His chant at the Moe Joes was an indictment of the media, while every where else he's been indicting the candidate.

So it seems to me anyway.

Gunny you are right again. Vermin is an anarchist and likely closest to Paul on the political spectrum.
