View Full Version : New Hampshire GOTV Facebook Ad Blitz - CRUCIAL CHIPIN for strong NH finish

Folks, same drill as in Iowa (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?344311-How-to-reach-3-000-Iowans-for-10-POTENTIAL-GAME-CHANGER-ChipIn-to-Win-Iowa). Ad blitz for GOTV. This could make the difference between Ron coming in second or third place in New Hampshire.

Here was our ad spend from the Iowa blitz:

http://caliberty.org/files/this1.jpg

On caucus day alone our ads targeting primarily dems/indys/youth reached 374,099 Iowans, displaying over 4 million times an average of 10.9 times per person. 1,157 people clicked through to http://iowaforpaul.com An additional ~700 people clicked through to the same site on another Facebook account I had access to, with a donor spending $1,500 of his own money to get even more people there.

So about 2,000 people clicked through to get caucus info, and a heck of a lot more people than that got favorable impressions of Ron before caucus day. Exactly how that impacted the results, who knows.

All I know is New Hampshire is especially ripe for us to do the same thing, targetting dems/indys/youth again. (Registered Dems can't register Republican on the spot, right? Just independents?)

The questions:

-- Should we run attack ads? Against whom and on what issues?
-- Should we just attempt to turn out indys? Youth?
-- What link should the people clicking through the ads land on? I don't have a nhforpaul.com page ready - I could create one, but it would take ~2 hours and I'd like to start the ads as soon as possible.
-- Does anyone else want to volunteer their Facebook account to be used? I can just hook up the PayPal account linked to the ChipIn to multiple Facebook accounts. So there is no $2,000/day limit to worry about. We can spend whatever we raise.
-- Who will donate? Who will help raise money? How much can we raise?

And the ChipIn: http://iowaadblitz.chipin.com/new-hampshire-blitz

Need donations, bumps, link spreadin, whatever love you can give it. Let's pwn Huntsman & Santorum.

Lets keep the same thread.

Lets have Christopher David do this for other states until we don't want to do this anymore or Christopher David screws up badly.

This thread should probably have a sticky or something. I'm pretty surprised that this one we almost forgot about.

Lets just focus on GOTV efforts. Lets craft ads for our most important voting block -- young males. If donations allow, move to independents (are we their best supported candidate? We don't want their ads benefiting Huntsman or Romney). Cost per click is probably pretty high, so hopefully we can get some donations in.

Unfortunately, that's only about 1,500 people (a little more or less, not positive), based on what I saw last night. Romney has the most, at around 8,000 in New Hampshire.

Ad suggestions:

1. Don't forget to vote for Paul (etc...)
-GOTV for known Paul supporters
-aimed at ALL NH people who have liked any of Ron Paul related pages (incl Gary Johnson, libertarian, etc.)
-this ad should land at a page that helps people find out how and where to vote.

2. Stop the wars (etc...)
-remind the anti-war vote that there is only ONE option
-aimed at NH with anti-war/progressive keywords (Kucinich-style Democrats)
-goes to a landing page that reinforces that Paul is the only anti-war vote, where and how to vote.

3. Save Civil Liberties (etc...)
-only ONE option against NDAA and Patriot act
-aimed at NH civil-liberty people (ACLU, and other progressives)
-goes to a landing page that reinforces that Paul is the only pro-civil liberties vote, where and how to vote.

Also, make sure that these anti-huntsman ads are finded:

oh no. I thought this was a targeted campaign to inform certain voters of the others bad records. I didn't realize it was a GOTV for Ron Paul specifically. My bad. Yes. if this is a GOTV for RP - then of course, "likes" on Ron's facebook would work AND johnsons facebook perhaps. Also, is there a "Northern Pass Facebook page" -- get the likes on that too!

I like this a lot. I know we get something like 70% of young males between 17 and 29 but I think we'd get an even higher percentage of these 2 subgroups, and they are probably more likely to vote as well.

Hi Coffee, thank you for taking the initiative to run some ads. Two suggestions for improvement:

On a budget of $10 I strongly recommend you only target people who "Like" Jon Huntsman in NH. $10 should get that ad in front of almost every Huntsman-liker who logs on between now and tomorrow.

Also note that your Jon Huntsman ad targets everyone active in politics. Wanting more war would not be a turn-off for many people targeted in that group. An anti-war ad like that would also be great for people who "Like" Jon Huntsman in NH.

Haha, after I saw my big open target with the first one in the image, I was like, "Crap, I didn't target very well!" So, I already changed it and it now is:
This ad targets 3,680 users:
who live in the United States
who live in New Hampshire
age 17 and older
who like #Human rights, #Human Rights Watch, #Jon Huntsman, Jr., #The Boston Globe or reelect president barack obama in 2012

Perhaps Huntsman only though? He just doesn't have very many "likes" on FB in NH, which is why I broadened it a little bit.
