View Full Version : Attention Veterans: Are you an 'Lee Ermey' for Ron Paul?

Who out there is an E-9 decorated combat vet w/ balls of brass? Someone that is (relatively, I'm a vet myself ;)) spotless. Step up. The 'jack-wagon' commercials you could make for Paul would be priceless. People have grown up on the principle that it is the non-coms that run the military. You could be a much sought after speaker. If this seems like your thing then just do it. Please. Citizens take combat decorated non-com individuals in higher esteem as generals. Volunteer yourself to the campaign.

No one? The most active duty contributions. I understand that these brothers can't do it. C'mon we have to have a E-8 or E-9 out there retired that can raise some hell. Some one with drill instructor experience....

Well I only hit E-3 so I bow to an easier grade or length of service. LOL. The search is on. Ron Paul NEEDS his own Lee Ermey!

Calling a SENIOR non-com to honour an oath.

You for real? Why don't you ask Ermey himself? That would be priceless. Or is he still considered to be a DOD employee. I teach PE with a Vietnam Vet who is a retired Major...probably not as good as a drill instructor lol and I'd have to do a lot of talking him into it since last I knew, he'd fire on Americans if ordererd to do so (little confused about his oath to the Constitution).

This is actually a great idea!!

Why couldn't Lee do it himself if we found out he was a supporter?

That was a great movie, heh. Just before I left for Parris Island, he actually came to my recruiting station. It's why I say he is such a scary mother fucker.

Well, I'm an E-3, never seen combat, and I'm very soft spoken, does that work? Lol. Joking, the only thing I match in your description is I'm in the military :P

Wow. This led to an interesting Google search. On top of some fascinating commercial endorsements, did you know R. Lee Ermey made voice-overs for Garmin & TomTom GPS systems?

Some snippets excluded from the video include:
"Get on the Ferry, Fairy!"
"Might not be a bad idea to make a U-Turn, Numbnuts!"
"You grabastic piece of civilian shit, Enter the roundabout!"

There's a slim chance Ermey can be contacted @ http://www.rleeermey.com/forms/feedback.htm

Major is not a Senior Non-Com. I don't ask him because I don'y know him.

So did ya shake each others dicks long enough to form enough a fraternal bond that ya can get him aboard. Got a personal cell number?

I ain't calling for a T.V. star. I'm calling for an unknown that we can promote to be a known. Honestly, there are none out there willing to be the flag bearer..

One of my co-workers is a moderator at the R. Lee Ermey message boards.....seriously.

We've had some interesting conversations.

I wonder if Ermey thinks Paul is too mamby-pamby. Ermey seems pretty hard core to me. Ready to kill kill kill.

I'm not looking for Ermey. I'm looking for a new Senior non-com that has Ermeys characteristics. Someone willing to step up.

My experience after 10 years in is that those who make it to E-8 or E-9 are thoroughly brainwashed. Critical thinking is not on their MTOE. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't hold much hope.

Only made it to E4. I think it would be awesome to get Emery himself to do it. Anyone else would just be an imitation of him anyway. Most combat vets are not pro-war, especially when the wars are pointless unending and undeclared.

Robert David Steele? I have lots of military in family but a bit lacking on the e-X ratings....

Maybe you should have started that paragraph with "LISTEN UP YOU MAGGOTS!". Might have got a better response. ;)

My dad retired after 20 as an E-8, and he was very much against our current military entanglements. Unfortuantely, he died in Jan 2010. (Sorry typo. He was E-8).

I'm happy to hear that there are some. The challenge is finding them.

I'm sorry to hear of his passing. My dad was a 20 year E-8 in the Air Force. He supports RP but at 84 he wouldn't be willing to do it. :(
