We all knew it before: Our guy is not bought and paid for by special interests. Here we have it documented. We should promote this and demarkate it from the active duty military donations. These are individual direct donations. The data is from Q3 2011 (deadline September 30th, lol at WAPO for writing 31th):

This pic is taken from a WAPO article:

More than 100 registered lobbyists have contributed to Romney, giving nearly $200,000 in direct donations, according to a Washington Post analysis of donor and lobbying records. A team of lobbyist fundraisers has also bundled together nearly $1 million in contributions for Romney’s campaign, disclosure records show.

i posted the pic on facebook with this comment:"The Washington Post put this image up showing who the lobbyists favor in the GOP Presidential race.......you decide for yourself what this means!!"

this way i'm not pushing Ron Paul on people that might be slightly putoff by him & letting them come to their own conclusion

This pic needs to go viral

BTW in the actual physical copy of the article, they tried to make it seem like Paul received a lot of lobbyist donations. Something along the lines of

(paraphrasing)

"Unlike Barack Obama, the GOP presidential candidates, including Romney, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum, Gingrich, and Paul have raked in tens of thousands of dollars from Washington lobbyists."

It used the same graphic as was posted above, though.

I distinctly remember this article because it was during the beginnings of BTO and I did a major double-take when they insinuated that Paul took in lots of donations from lobbyists. Then I looked at the graph and he had barely taken any. In the online addition they fixed the sentence, if I remember correctly, to not imply that Paul had accepted significant donations from lobbyists.

Love it how there's no mention of Paul getting almost nothing.

Donations over $200 are reported. He donated $201. He wanted the donation to be reported. Bastard.

We should make it our goal to find out who this lobbyist was. Would make for a fun over-the-top article.
