I don't like posting negative news but someone will post this here anyway.

I say the day Huck appears on Dobson's radio show (http://www.oneplace.com/ministries/Focus_on_the_Family/) we call up angry and mention dirt on Huck(not as RP supporters).

Dirt

But lets not let give up because of this. All this means is that the GOP is up for grabs. The base has not decided a front runner.

This is just a rumor and Dobson has not endorsed anyone yet. (I'm secular and did not even know who Dobson was until reading up on the speculation.)

Is anyone surprised... really?

If it is true, so what? Robertson is backing Ghuliani, Weyrich is backing Romney and IF Dobson backs the Huckster then that means the evangelical vote is potentially split 3 ways. This would be much better than him backing Romney. IMHO.

Good point. We have plenty of Christians in our midst without them. Namely, Dr. Paul, TYVM.

This is not true. He is NOT endorsing Huckabee

Dobson has already explained why Fred is unacceptable to him -- because he opposes a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage (because it is a state issue). I would expect RP to fare no better with Dobson for the same reason.

Dobson could end up weakening his own influence tremendously by not backing anyone.

this is not good

Actually, this is damned good. Just as damned good as if he's said to vote RP. Why?

Dobson says Huck, Robertson says Giuliani. The Religious Right is thusly split.

And that split means they are more likely to stay home for the primaries.

I always find it funny when the Christians who have this "faith" always seem to want to vote Apocalypse. When in Church does it come to you when you think "you know GOD Needs MY help here"

The Christians seem to be the most freighted group of people I have ever met. Every generation since the millerites always with this "end of days" prophecy.

This is just a rumor....Focus on the Family e-mailed my friend about 2 weeks ago and let him no he's not close to endorsing a candidate yet.

Dobson should read Ron's argument on why a Federal Marriage Amendment is a bad idea.....if you really examine what Ron says/does, I'd say he's personally against gay marriage, but the Fed needs to stay out of it.

Dobson should read this: http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul207.html very very enlightening.

From the title of the thread, I thought you were talking about LOU Dobbs. *sigh of relief* I need to get new eyeglasses.

I just found this on Townhall.com:

http://townhall.com/news/politics-elections/2007/11/09/dobson_says_no_endorsement_imminent

It looks like NO mention of Ron Paul in this article...surprise, surprise....Maybe Dobson will surprise them all, and someday endorse RP.

Everyone knows these Evangelical leaders won't endorse Paul except as a last resort. They love the holy-war too much. So this is nothing to worry about. The campaign knew this would happen and I'm sure they already have plans to compensate.

Huckabee was on TV today and said it was just an Internet rumor.
