You know, I just had an interesting idea. How about we do a "collage" type of video for the "main" December 16th video? We could like, choose a song, plan it all out, have a bunch of users have some small "seconds" of slots, and have somebody upload it (heck, the uploader can even be decided through voting).

It's no doubt that a lot of people here have egos and want to get "a piece of the pie", so instead of creating a bunch of sites about it, we could all give them a chance to be a part of the main video that will drive this thing! It will also show the creativity of the many users, because instead of having somebody work on one massive video, people can work on a small 2-8 second segment, putting forth all of their creativity, making it absolutely beautiful.

I heard this before on video-editing forums and in all occassions it never really worked out.

I think the best way to do it is let everybody make their video, but then let the creators update it with criticism from the other users.

I think its a nice idea but it sounds pretty complicated and time consuming.

It never worked out because it was all disorganized, and people didn't know how to script it properly.

With a good song, I can help provide scripting assistance, that way people would know exactly what to put in each area (with flexibility, of course).

I just despise the fact that most of the videos out there look "WMM"-based. Not that there's anything wrong with that--I just think a "flashier" one would do the Ron Paul campaign more justice if executed in a organized fashion.

I agree with that, although I think the one by nihiloexnihil (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-3M2D3V94M) is already quite good ;)

Personally, I'll definitely make something flashy, but I'm still gathering footage so give me 2 more days. Example of a vid by me (http://video.msn.com/video.aspx?vid=b4a3b24f-1a28-4084-9d77-e25c0f382295) I got Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas and last but not least the $5000 Avid Media Composer package which they use in Hollywood.

Wow, fantastic. Great job on the remix, it looked like the music was scored for the video. Can't wait to see what you have in store for Dr. Paul.

I was thinking on making something animated/pseudo-animated. I mean, if each person only has a 2/4/8 second segment, it should not take too long to put together an entire animated video with enough people on board.

But yeah, I'm not against making tons of videos to keep YouTube stacked with Ron Paul support, but I think we need our "main" video to be something more than a WMM rendition.

Considering that this topic is being ignored, I'm guessing everybody thinks this is a bad idea. >_>
