This needs to be stickied...

Break the links when you post a poll, and people will cut and paste them into their browsers. Otherwise, things like the CNBC fiasco happen where they accuse of of impropriety because all these hits are coming from a single source.

If you break the links they can't track the source.

Please break your links!

KEEP LINKING! Plz sticky cuz my Wii can't copy/paste! (Seriously, some of us aren't browsing on comps...do what you're gonna do and this doesn't warrant a sticky)

It is not enough to break your links, because your browser reports the page you came from.

What I do is first go to Yahoo.com, then copy & paste the link in the address bar.

How about just copy and paste

Use Firefox and tabbed browsing, then you can copy, open a new tab, and paste. If you're on a Mac you can Command-click the link and it will open automatically in a new tab if you use Firefox.

TinyURL does not anonymize the redirect as it uses a 301 redirect using the HTTP protocol, instead of using javascript or meta tags, which is client side.

I'll add an anonymize option to my future feature list for it.
