Just tweeted from PPP polling.

One thing that would be a game changer in SC is a DeMint endorsement...that polls MUCH better than a Haley/Graham/McCain nod there

It would be huge. He endorsed Romney last time, but has made it clear that he doesn't want to this time. I think it will go to Santorum. If it goes to Romney, then Romney wins SC.

He said he might not, only if it was narrowed down to one much more conservative than another. I don't know that he would endorse Santorum, he has to know Santorum ultimately isn't going anywhere and has no abortion and failed to make two ballots and filed incomplete delegate slates for others, etc.

On the other hand, he might not endorse Ron above other conservatives still in the race. Dunno. If Ron does REALLY well in NH, who knows?

If we do great in NH, possibly

Just an FYI. He did attend a rally for Rand in N. Kentucky (along w Ron) when Rand was running in the General Election.

Not in this lifetime. He wants to bomb Iran as much as Santorum, maybe more.

I always wonder when people post things like this, do they even know what Demint stands for? This guy is a scumbag worthy of running a megachurch with dancing monkeys and a prime TV spot on Sunday morning right after the ghost of Oral Roberts. He helped Rand, with I find quite worrisome, but no way in hell he would ever endorse Ron.

Rand Paul need to fly to S.C and talk to DeMint and explain Ron Paul foreign policy.

I'm going to guess DeMint is very well versed in what's happening overseas from that angle. It is a question of will he be brave enough to break ranks with the corporate politicians to support Ron and the troops.

Nope, know nothing about any of the SC pols. That's why I asked. No reason to get snappy about it.

I came across this interview with DeMint several weeks ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q06G6cbYnLA

From 39:20 to 42:54 he answers a student's question about what he believes the U.S. role in the world should be. He says over time that his views have changed as he's seen the results of our interventions. I don't think he's 100% on board with Ron Paul but he sure doesn't sound like a neocon anymore.

Then why did he endorse Rand?

A Jim Demint endorsement would be awesome. I hope Rand can work on him and make it happen.

I'll give DeMint some credit, he was 1 of only 3 Republicans who voted for Rand's bill to end the war in Iraq.

Not a chance. DeMint is an insider.

I hope so...during my extraordinarily long and boring holiday trip, I analyzed a whole lot of scenarios and DeMint is the VP that could actually get RP to the White House. His endorsement plays into that in my analyses.

He'll endorse Ron as soon as Ron is ready to send troops into and drop bombs onto Iran.
