Picked this up off a news thread I saw today....

************************************************** **************

It took Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., a split second to answer on Thursday when an audience member in Fairfield asked if he thought he could beat the Republican presidential front-runner, former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani.

"Absolutely," Obama said. "Current polls show that I am beating Giuliani ..."

The crowd roared its approval. But there was an awkward moment when he got a follow-up: "What about Ron Paul?"

Obama quickly dodged: "I'll worry about Ron Paul if he gets to the general election."
************************************************** **************

At least he had the forsight not to say he'd be able to beat Dr. Paul :)

Hillary's campaign has the exact same fear - the democratic "frontrunners" know that Ron Paul is the only real threat - he has the sane anti-war vote. the rest are war mongers no self-respecting person could vote for (like giuliani).

If Ron gets the nod he's going to beat the democrats over the head with their votes for the Iraq war, the votes for the endless funding and their 2013 reassessment timeline, where the troops won't be coming home anyway. At least Obama was honest, he'll really have something to worry about if he faces off with Ron.
