I think it was hillarious! Seemed kind of out of character so I'm wondering if he actually wrote it. What do you think of it?

I love it, huntsman is not a great american.

it is silly to attack losers but every once in a while makes for a good laugh on an otherwise sombre night for usa

Probably was a staffer....out of character, hilarious...probably not the right thing to do whoever did it. Especially considering we finished 3rd....I know when this was tweeted we actually had lead....or right there, but I don't like being arrogant or cocky or smack talking when the voting wasn't over.

I agree. We have young campaign staff. It is what it is.

This is somewhat childish, not to mention punching down

It's funny to imagine that Ron Paul himself wrote that. :D

I don't think it is the official twitter account

Which is probably why it was deleted after only being online for 30 minutes. Obviously Ron Paul didn't write it but I think it's funny.

It's a tweet and its jovial, Huntsman dosent care about IA he said "IA dosent pick presidents, they pick corn." He disrespected a whole state, I think the tweet is fitting

Are they on TV? I thought it was just online since he didn't have the funding for TV yet

It has been put back up. The campaign was asked about it and said that it was indeed intended.

It is; it's been verified by twitter ( hence the little blue check mark(

Ron Paul's spoken said this was intentional after the IT guy thought it was an attack.[/QUOTE]

Agreed, but not fitting for an official campaign posting. For an 'official' RPF thread, it's fine.

This is a horrible, horrible idea, and will turn off emotion-based voters. Bad Bad move campaign. I know some staffers needed to blow off steam but dang, don't tweet your frustration to the whole world.

According to the LA Times

from Huntsman's manager:

“We find it odd that Rep. Paul would attack Gov. Huntsman in such a childish fashion,” Miller said in an email statement. “That said, it is just the latest in a long line of odd statements from him, like when he called Martin Luther King Jr. a pedophile for example.”
