CNN is reporting that only 15% of the turnout was 17-29 year olds. BOO.

I'm pretty sure they said that young voter turnout was up 40% or 50% or something like that from 08.

Most polls had predicted ~ 11%. Obama had 22%. Seems decent, no?

Bunch of kids that are yet to learn that actions speak louder than words.

It probably is lower than we expected it to be.

Kids are probably back home, still, for Winter breaks.

Good. When Paul wins that's one less excuse they can make.

Dude, that isn't low. We thought Ron would win in a walk if he got close to 20-percent.

I posted earlier, I think, that we'd probably get around 15-percent and it would be tight.

Kids also have to work the shit jobs like service sector fast food and department store stuff till 9pm close or later. Remember that.

Old people are selfish.

Could have been better, but doing better than the polls predicted so that has to be good news. Looks like this is going to be close, too close for comfort.

Such is why campaigns tend not to rely on youth vote. Really shocked to see so much purple Santorum on google. Maybe they pushed for an early showing to establish momentum?

I don't care what excuses they make I just want to win.

I did hear something about student web sites showing debate locations being inexplicably down today, but I'll leave that for the tin foil hat crowd.

Good point also realize that high school basketball is going on tonight. Just imagine a kid trying to get out of a game for a caucus, that kid wound mysteriously start failing classes, and be given grief by fellow students.

Obama got 22% in a Democrat contest. More young people are Democrats. I think 15% is about what was expected.

Well we're still doing well, even if we're missing a few 18-29 year olds

According to the polls beforehand, 15% would win it for us.

What percentage of those 18 to 29 turned out? Also remember Paul is leading among those 30-45. This is the age where you've got kids, a mortgage, etc. This bracket is fed up too and they're sick of stagflation.

I swear I would've done it, and I'm 19. I joined the army because I'm a man, and a man of my word. Wish more youngsters showed up.

Old people suck because they vote for the status quo (ALWAYS)
Young people suck because they don't show up to vote (ALWAYS)
