Three things come to mind but I'm sure there's more.

1) Money raised. For as long as I remember, the media has always made a big deal about how much money each candidate has raised and from whom. This seemed to decline heavily 4 years ago and today it's rare I hear anything about it on MSM.

2) After-debate polls. Remember 4 years ago when every debate still had an after debate poll which would be heavily discussed. My favorite was the Fox debate/poll and Hannity's spin on it. Thanks to Ron Paul this has gone away.

3) GOP rules. I think this one will really hit home by the time Florida is done. Someone is going to calculate how many delegates everyone running would have had under the rules 4 years ago vs this year and it'll be crystal clear why the rules were changed. Another effect of this change is to keep a lot of candidates in the race -which heavily dilutes Ron's speaking time in the debates and gives the establishment a lot more options/angles.

I think this topic would make an excellent article/video.

What other changes have you noticed?
