If they want to win they will. Santorum doesn't have a ground game, but churches WILL organize one for him in large scale. It would be MUCH MUCH harder to "mobilize" people from the church to vote for a guy who supported someone who was vehemently pro-choice.

Proof? I'm looking and can't find anything on a vote from him. Was it a vote for an amendment?

Yes. And his support for Christie Todd Whitman, Jersey Governor who vetoed a bill banning partial birth abortions. Monster.
