Ann Selzer basically suggests the voters are undecided between someone who is electable versus someone they agree with on the key issues, but that Santorum is a merge of sorts between those two factions. Ridiculous.

Not only is she a guest, she is the one who ran the Des Moines poll and the one who predicted Obama would win Iowa in 2008.

It`s SOOO obvious there`s absolutely zero difference between CNN and FOX? I don`t believe that has ever been more clear that they`re one and the same.

Not only is she a guest, she is the one who ran the Des Moines poll and the one who predicted Obama would win Iowa in 2008.

She isn't very credible if she calls Santorum electable. If Santorum won the nomination, I would donate to him just to encourage him to continue in the race only to watch his crushed face when Obama wins all 50 states in a landslide.

matt0611
01-02-2012, 12:10 PM
Both big liberal media cable outlets (CNN and MSNBC) are pushing Santorum HARD, they know he will have no chance against Obama.

Santorum and Bachmann both score horribly when matched up against Obama.
There's no way independents would vote for them.

Even if I did agree with them on the issues I couldn't support them simply because they are not electable in the general election and we'd get stuck with Obama again.

Wait if you do the math of what she just said with paul at 29% the first 2 days, and him dropping 13% points to 16% doesnt he have to have 4% of the vote in the poll in the last 2 days? Seems so wrong imo.

Well, it's chicken-and-egg. They put the negative stories up. There would be no need to rebut the question "to what do you attribute Ron Paul's recent collapse in the polls?" if they weren't bogusly reporting that Ron Paul is collapsing in the polls.

"Bogus" poll? Seriously, the numbers are the numbers. Polls are fluid and are scattered. They aren't fudging them (well maybe CNN is) but just giving what the pollsters give them. We can't say the polls are right one minute and "bogus" the next.

Polls are a tool that can be used to give the impression X or Y candidate has or doesn`t have chances of hitting 1st spot. Easily to sway voters from their 1st choice, making them think their candidate of choice is not worth voting for. Also the way some of these polsters are polling is extremely biased against Ron Paul. However results will show what they want to hide.

What is your frickin' problem? Are you seriously going to sit there and ignore the fact that the media cherry-picks the poll to display that has the worst numbers for RP? Because I have seen it with my own eyes, time and time again.

You seem to be going from thread-to-thread defending how the media has been smearing RP. It's fair to bring up the issues, but it most certainly is not fair to misstate is positions and downright lie. It has been a 24x7 media smear fest for the last week or so. It has been disgusting and there is no rational defense of it.

And apparently the polls are over sampling women and we know how Ron Paul does with them....

Trust me the campaign knows the real numbers.

I didn't say the poll was bogus, I said the claim that the polls show Paul's campaign is "collapsing" are bogus. There is exactly one 2-day data point that shows something that could be fairly described as "collapse" -- the other polls show him statistically tied or leading.
