I can see Gingrich pulling this the night before. How would it affect things if he did?

Newt is set to come 4th at best in IA. A Cain endorsement definitely isn't going to improve on that, nor is it likely to prevent Newt from coming 4th in NH.

I would not be surprised if in this final day before the caucus we see a major endorsement like Cain for Romney or Palin/Huckabee for Santorum.

Him endorsing Gingrich at this point would only only help us in Iowa. Gingrich has no chance at winning and takes away from Romney and Santorum, not us.
