Once Trevor and/or Nathaniel made changes to the DNS records, (which I'm assuming was yesterday sometime), it can sometimes take more 48 hours to propagate to all the various servers worldwide. I've even heard of it taking up to 72 hours in extreme cases.

Edit: during the propagation time period, the site will be accessible and then unaccessible throughout that period.

Nathaniel said he and Trevor had changed the "A" record on the DNS stuff (whatever that means) yesterday.

Is there anyone here that knows what these error messages indicate and whether this is just a "wait and everything will be fine" situation, or a "oh my, this is really messed up" situation??

If they don't start giving us answers soon, we'll have to take teaparty07.org as the official one...

I don't think so. We don't even know who owns the .org and .net sites and they have chosen to remain anonymous. Trevor says they contacted him, but the owners could also be scamming Trevor. We just don't know at this point.

it can take up to 48 hours for everything to straighten out.

I believe it has already been more than 72 hours. This means the DNS records simply have yet to be fixed.

For me, it's back up again. This is getting a little ridiculous.

It's up for me as well. Yeah!!

I think the problem was Nathaniel had reset the "A" records on his registrar (Yahoo), but in actuality, the "A" record needed to be reset on Trevor's server (where the name resolves to)...

Not Up for me.

Just a matter of time now, I think. Check in about 30 minutes or so and see if it's good for you.

Another update: There were some errors and they have been fixed. The site should start working for people and when it does it should stay working. I'm sorry about this. I'm starting a new thread to check for propagation..

I'm worried about the multiple tea party sites, especially if they are fraud.
