Dr. Paul frequently gets the "electability" question (the several Sunday show interviews today 1-1-2012 are examples). His answers were very good, but I wonder why he never cites any of the several polls that show his competitiveness in a hypothetical general election against Obama? Would shut them right up and he would stop getting that question, because it would make the interviewer look like they had not done their homework. Is there some reason for this? Or is it simply an oversight by the campaign?

Just one of several examples:

Can you assembly several sources on Paul's matchup against Obama. Would be good to print out and take along with me.

He used to do that a lot. It didn't help.

At the moment he doesn't poll so well and head to heads are not taken very often.

He is citing the independents he gets though.

There were 2 or 3 such polls. Not exactly several. There's one link in the OP.

"There's actually a legitimate statistical argument that Paul would be the strongest GOP candidate against Obama, period " ... ppp polls

This would make sense. Thanks. Maybe I exaggerated by labeling this a "pink elephant in the room issue..."

But I think many voters would find even the slightly older polls very eye-opening. Plus Ron could point out that the older favorable polls predate his most recent rise in the polls.
