"I will write in Congressman Ron Paul for the Presidential Election no matter what happens in the primaries but only if 60,000,000 other Americans will do the same."

This needs to go viral. Starting.... now.

Are you committed?

P.S. Forum Gods: Sticky please :)

I don't even see that getting .001% of 60m in signatures.

I hope you're a little bit more optimistic about the election. Otherwise, why are you here?

If it did get to the point of 600,000 signatories... wow. That would be huge. (Original post above said 1/10)

In response to your updated 0.001%: if you think that only 600 people in the country would find that pledge if it goes viral, and be willing to write in Ron's name, how the hell do you expect to win the general election? I guarantee you that if Bush and Kerry weren't on the ballots, they would've still gotten many many votes each.

By the way, 5 minutes later we're 1/100 of the way to 0.001%. Care to retract your above comment yet?

Hopefully he gets the nomination and we don't need to write in his name.

If this pledge ever gets filled, it will be pointless. Do you see why?

Theseus, not necessarily. For instance, if 60,000,000 signatories claim to be willing to write in Ron Paul, and they somehow claim he loses.... well god damn, how did that happen?

I am planning on doing this regardless of how others decide to vote. (If necessary, of course)

Great, let's hope we're not the only ones planning that!

This might take awhile.

It certainly would have been a much more useful pledgebank
if it had some fundamental tracking feature like zipcode or city/state
or some other feature to permit ronpaulgraphs to map the response.
And a much more reasonable target to aim at.

Otherwise it is just another weak sister version of
http://ronpaulregistry.com/2.0/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29

It's not really supposed to be reasonable. But that ronpaulregistry.com website doesn't say anything about writing him in.

All progress comes from the UNREASONABLE man.. remember that..

the "reasonable" man accepts the world as it is, the unreasonable man does not.. he tries to change the world to his views...

If everybody in the world was always reasonable we'd still have slavery... Hell we'd still be living in caves.
