Sound Bites/Talking Points with a reality check.
Anyone who says Ron Paul is not the BEST candidate to beat Obama is not looking at the facts!

This election is about only one thing - Beating Obama. This is NOT a beauty contest for "most lovable republican"
this is about who can beat Obama. We all know that if the economy were to deteriorate between now and
election day, any one of these GOP candidates could beat Obama. This is not something we wish upon our
fellow Americans and it is not something we can take to the bank as a way to beat Obama.
The only way to beat Obama regardless of the economy is to appeal to his supporters and carve off pieces
of his vulnerable support base by offering them solutions . Many Obama supporters are very disappointed
with Obama. These voters can only be captured by a candidate who appeals to these voters issues. This will
be impossible for my GOP opponents because their positions do not mesh with these voters.
Only Ron Paul's message can get to these voters.

THE YOUTH VOTE
The youth vote which Obama won by 34% in 2008 is abandoning him.
Ron Paul has proven strong appeal with the young voters. He is the best candidate far and away
capable of not only appealing to the youth vote but energizing it towards defeating Obama.
Anyone who thinks the youth vote will abandon Obama for Gingrich or Romney needs their heads checked.

MILITARY
Many a media pundit has been heard saying that RP is not electable due to his position on
the military. Well this is a bold face lie. We have Obama waging numerous wars and the mantra from the other
GOP candidates is arguing for even more wars all the while calling RP "extreme" for having a position that
mirrors the voters. 2/3rds of Americans think that with Bin Laden dead, our job is done. We should bring the
troops home. Americans and our troops believe that we engage in war too lightly and that
a majority in congress should declare war before we get into another war. Obama is vulnerable on this issue
with so many democrats disappointed with Obama and his broken promise
"I will bring the troops home - and you can take that to the bank".
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who can sway these disenchanted voters.
But let's be clear - If congress declares war while RP is president, he is all in. If we are attacked, he will respond
with overwhelming force. We will have our war, win it as quickly as possible and bring the troops back home.
But we should not get into wars that a majority of the people or their representatives do not support.
Our troops deserve better. That is why RP get more donations from the troops than all his opponents combined.

MIL2
The American people want fewer wars and to bring our troops home. Obama has staked out a position
clearly to the right of center. RP's leading republican opponents positions are even further to the right of Obama
-in with the minority of Americans who think we should be more aggressive overseas. RP's view is with the majority
of Americans who believe that we should have fewer wars and then only when congress declares it.
RP is the ONLY candidate who can make our militarism a campaign issue and cleave off a chunk of Obama's supporters.

DRUGS
RP has been accused by some media of being a fringe candidate due to his stand to End the war on drugs.
To this media, we say CHECK the POLLS! The majority of Americans agree with RP that the federal war on drugs
is a failure, in fact, only 8% think it has been a success. So here we have Obama continuing the war on drugs
and the other republicans arguing he isn't doing enough. The other republican position on this WOD is only
appealing to a very small percent of the electorate. they can't possible cut into Obama's support base.
Obama is vulnerable on this issue.
89% of the people who voted for Obama 4 years ago believe the war on drugs is a failure.
Ron Paul's position on this issue goes at the heart of the Obama supporters who have lost faith in him.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who can capture these supporters.
This war is racist. Blacks make up 14% of those who use drugs, yet 36% of those arrested
and it ends up that 63% of those who finally end up in prison are Blacks. This is racism
with terrible consequences! And they have the gall to wrongly paint RP as "racist". It is time
to end the racist Federal war on drugs. We can not afford the Federal drug war and it is redundant. While
many of RP's opponents give lip service to states rights, when the rubber meets the road, they cave.
RP is clear - If states want to permit medicinal use of marijuana, it should be up to the people in those states.
All 50 states already have comprehensive drug laws on the books and drug law enforcement capabilities.
This issue is not about letting a bunch of drug crazed addicts roaming our streets it is simply putting the
issue where it belongs - with the states. Free the states to come up with It is a state issue - the Federal Government
should butt out!

DRUG2
76% of Americans believe that the Federal Drug war is a failure. Obama is continuing the failed drug war like
his predecessors. RP's leading opponents are way over there on the right with Obama or even further to the
right. RP, like the majority of Americans believe the drug war is a failure and wants to end the federal war on drugs
putting it where it belongs - with the 50 states who all have comprehensive drug laws. RP is the ONLY candidate
who can make the war on drugs an issue and cleave off some of Obama's supporters.

CRONYISM
As more and more Americans recognize that corporate cronyism - big business colluding with big government
to the corporations benefit - we have both parties cozying up closer than ever to big corporations who work the system
at our expense. Whether bank bailouts, taxpayer subsidies or loan guarantees, with either of RP's opponents or Obama in
power, we will get more of the same. With many corporations donating to both parties, it is clear that they are not
promoting a candidate or position - they are buying access and this must stop.
Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who can make this an effective campaign issue.

CRONY2
The majority of Americans think that the bank bailouts were unnecessary particularly in light of the fact
that the bailouts made the "too big to fail" banks even bigger. Crony capitalists buying seats at the table
of Washington gorging themselves on our children's future. Candidates being for the bailouts
before they were against the bailouts. Former speakers selling DC access and insight to the highest bidder.
RP being an "outsider" is the only candidate who can effectively make this an issue.

FISCAL
With the majority of Americans believing that spending is the problem, and that we need to make cuts,
RP is the only candidate that makes serious cuts the first year. Both my GOP opponents and Obama pay lip
service to eventual cuts but only propose to fiddle with the margins in the years after they leave office. One side
fighting to maintain Spending increases on social programs, the other fighting to continue with increases in the military budgets.
Too often their solution is for both to be winners which unfortunately makes we the people the losers. With a
$15 Trillion debt careening towards $25 Trillion or more, they have the temerity to claim RP cutting spending by 20%
is irresponsible while offering no realistic/viable solutions themselves. With the government spending nearly $1.5 trillion
more per year than it collects. We must put an end to Washington’s reckless and out-of-control appetite for debt.
It is time to end this war on our children's future. RP has the only plan that will actually get federal spending under control.
And when he sweeps into the White House, it will be with such a mandate that congress will fall in line.

FISCAL2
72% of Americans favor a balanced budget amendment. Many politicians have plans to cut only future
increases in spending - promising to have our fiscal house in order - only years after their term in office is over.
Its all smoke and mirrors. RP's Restore America Now plan balances the budget within 3 years
while protecting Medicare, Social Security and Veterans Benefits. RP is the only candidate with a record opposing
deficit spending and a plan bold enough to balance the budget in his first term and slice off some of Obama's supporters.

OBAMACARE
RP is the only candidate who agrees with the majority of America that Obamacare must go and
has consistently been opposed to individual mandates and Obamacare. If Romney or Gingrich
were to go after Obamacare, they will be portrayed as flip-floppers and disingenuous by team Obama
-this will effectivly neutralize this as a campaign issue.
Ron Paul is the only major candidate who can take on Obamacare.

Ron Paul is the Obama defeating machine.
Anyone who says Ron Paul is not the BEST candidate to beat Obama is not looking at the facts!
