A funny story from the grocery store line in Van Buren County, Iowa today . . .
- the punch line is to remind caucus goers that ALL votes are write-in.

Old timer asks me how's it goin' ? and I ask him if he's gonna caucus . . .

He shrugs like he is NOT going to caucus - he is a registered Republican -
he mentions his son (in Texas) that does not like Gov. Perry.

Anyhoo . . .

he mentions if he does caucus, he will write-in either Harry Truman or Ron Reagan -

I chuckle . . . but he's serious.

All votes are on a slip of paper . . . so you can write in Ron Paul, that Congressman from Texas -
or at least write "Ron" clearly and then scribble in the last name Reagan or Paul!

Too funny - at least to me.

Many even write in their own name, btw.

what a waste of 3 hours! Or do they only go for the fake straw poll vote at the beginning and leave before delegate selection begins?
