Maybe I'm mistkane, but Ron Paul Flix videos that I have seen do not allow me to activate automated captioning, and are basically worthless for me being Deaf. I understand the great service you do, and the rationale behind a steady link that never "dies", but is it possible to ensure that automated captioning tools are activated and accessible?

It looks like you uploaded a transcript from MS Word, not from a notepad document, which is why you see the weird symbols in there. Also, I am not talking about manually adding captions (which are more crisp and clean looking). I am talking about Ron Paul Flix simply going to "edit captons/subtitles" and clicking on "allow for automated captioning". This then activates the automated captioning tool on YouTube, which then allows Deaf folks like me to click on the red CC button, which does not appear otherwise. The captions are still shoddy with the YouTube tool, but it helps me understand what is being talked about.

As for captioning videos by uploading transcripts, they are a piece of cake. It takes me 5 minutes to rip a video, copy and paste a transcript from CNN or whatever, upload the video, upload the notepad transcript, and voila. YouTube does the rest. It's much easier than people realize.
