View Full Version : CNN pundits just predicted Ron Paul #1 in Iowa...

Ron Paul to win the caucus, Romney #2, and that Newt and Santorum will battle it out for #3.

They said the new interview with Newt trashing Ron Paul and Romney will not sit will with Iowa because they don't like him being negative. His arrogance also comes into play.

Santorum coming in #3 would be a surprise, IMO. We'll have to see how far Newt slips I guess.

“Frustration from his floundering campaign has Newt Gingrich showing who he really is: a divisive, big-government liberal,” Paul Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton said. “Newt has a long record of standing against conservatives dating back to his support for liberal Nelson Rockefeller over Barry Goldwater, so this sort of childish outburst is nothing new.”

I'm absolutely loving the competency of the campaign.

Benton is exactly right, and Newt's outburst only strengthened Paul!
This is awesome.

Apparently, freedom is popular. Who knew? ;)

Me too. I love the way that Ron's campaign managers are fighting back and not holding anything back.

jesse benton is young. newt gingrich's political philosophy is more akin to richard nixon's, however its a neatly nice press release!

It's more of Newt Gingrich's serial hypocrisy. Gingrich swore up and down he would obey Reagan's 11th commandment, and now he's going on the Clinton News Network to attack Republicans that are polling ahead of him in Iowa. It's disgraceful.

Ain't buying Santorum in third at all, but at least it would mean Gingrich in fourth or even worse.

I'm not buying Santorum in a solid third at all either. Listen people, it's the controlled media's one last attempt to pump up someone to knock out the real mccoy, Ron Paul. I am predicting that anyone who does come in third will do so with less than 15% of the vote, hence irrelevant.

They want to raise expectations so he won't get a bump from second place, when he should.

Perry is in there. I'd expect Perry as three before Santorum, but the media has been pushing Santorum like crazy.

With all this hype and "certainty" you know it's going to be the end of world if we come up short now, right? I would have it rather they didn't declare us anything.

I'd like:

Paul
Romney
Perry
Santorum
Bachmann
Gingrich

I don't know how realistic that is though.

I have this gut feeling that the entire Iowa voting process is going to be an issue. It's how the elites, the statists and the status quo pushers play ball when someone real like Ron Paul rises to challenge the system.

Everybody has been looking for the anti-Romney. You can't hear enough of that. They have finally figured out that they need the "anti-Paul". Who is more anti-Paul than Santorum? The internet loves Ron Paul and hates Santorum. They are opposites on so many issues and passionately so. I doubt Romney gives a damn about foreign policy specifics or the war on drugs. He just wants to be CEO of USA.
