Great article:)

I'm from Michigan and I've done my share of convincing. Let's hope we get a big surge after we win Iowa!

Michigan, has really got me curious, since I moved from there 6 months ago to Florida. I've also done my share of convincing up there, I'm not quite sure what to think till after Iowa, and as we get closer to February. My guess is if he makes the economy the #1 talking point, he could do very well, same goes for Florida down here. Alot of effort and time was put in up there, by the meetups knocking on doors, signs, etc.... it was pretty amazing back in 08'.. Bumper stickers for RP everywhere I remembered.

Michigan did elect Justin Amash on the west side of the state as well.....

Paul hasn't polled as well in Michigan as he has nationally, said Bernie Porn, president and pollster at Lansing-based EPIC-MRA. That said, if Paul does well in Iowa, his poll numbers are sure to spike everywhere, including Romney's home state of Michigan, Porn said.

Interesting last name for Bernie. I just had to ask, would everything he writes be considered pornography?

:D

I know, I know... it's bad to have fun with someones name, but I just couldn't help it.

We moved here in...2008 or so and we were struck by how many Paul signs were still standing. This year, not so much.

I'd say the signage is more mature this cycle (no random overpasses, no tagging street signs with bumper stickers), but there are more RP signs than anyone else.

My state wide observations have a ratio of about 5:2, Ron Paul:Obama, with NO visiable support for Romney.

He is the only one with a campaigning staff in Michigan here on the west side. I think all the other candidates have conceded the state to Mitt this time around. Interestingly, Mitt had a close race I thought in 2008 considering that McCain barely ran. Most of Romney's campaign is for donors at this time.

Good work Michiganders.

We need to sweep the Midwest. Both in the primary and general. Well we probably won't win Illinois against Obama but we need every other state.
