Not bad.. I think those are exactly the reasons Ron can get many Dems on his side!

That is a pretty good article. Indeed Ron Paul will be a lot better president than Obama. It is good to read an article like this because Ron Paul will beat Obama and he will bring a bunch of Republicans to congress as well.

It is a little bit bewildering that Dave Lindorff doesn't already understand property rights and sound money. Yet, he said that he would vote for Ron Paul instead of Obama, so he'll learn how excellent sound money and rule of law are after the election.

Check out the (very pale) complexion of the student bodies at just about any state university, check out the skin tones of the judges on the US Supreme Court, or for that matter, the whole federal bench. Check out the racial breakdown of the nation’s jails, and especially on the country’s many death rows, where you’ll find a wildly outsized percentage of people with black or brown skin waiting to be killed by the state.

What a crock. there are all black universities all over the country 2. US supreme court has 1 Hispanic 3 Jews 1 Black. Nations Jails well why don't we go look at the FBI statistics for the racial make up of arrests...Fact is Blacks commit more crimes nothing can be done about this. Why this person who wrote the article is trying to blame the system for the short fallings of people in this country give me a break.

Yes good article indeed, and one thing that almost always flummoxes me is the fact that people think socialism/collectivism is good for the world as a whole. But what they seem to not be able to connect is, government should not ever enforce socialism/collectivism upon the people. It should be up to the individuals to be charitable and start charitable organizations to help others, not government. Because it leads us right back to where we currently are--the road to tyranny and serfdom.

Not bad? Its a terrible article. The only positive thing about it is its an honest and objective piece. But the conclusions are most wrong, especially the ludicrous notion that economic equality would be tougher under a Paul presidency. Social injustice is one of Ron Paul's biggest concerns as a libertarian.

Fact is Blacks commit more crimes nothing can be done about this.

Three things can be done:

1) End the prohibitions: drugs (medicinal and otherwise, end the FDA and the DEA), gambling (sports included), prostitution.

2) End the minimum wage and other job-related mandates (mandatory payment of unemployment insurance (end benefits for those who don't pay - better yet - privatize unemployment insurance with trusts and union/employees/employers who care to use it), disengage health insurance from your job)

3) End all state or federal-mandated licensing. You can't even braid hair without a license in some states. If I want an ex-con as a lawyer, that should be my legal right regardless of his qualifications (if a judge boots him from court with cause, that could be another matter).

These three things combine to prevent people from legal work. What remains? Crime. Why does it affect some groups more? I don't know but do believe the poor and urban are at a disadvantage. A disadvantage is not destiny, but it is a statistical filter of sort. The exceptions are rare (statistically, as you would expect).
