Yeah, I KNOW this is news, but it sure affects the grassroots:

New Hampshire, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan and Wyoming are going to lose half their delegates.

This is per the RNC Chairman.

Funny thing, the caucuses will not be penalized.

Ask yourself WHO benefits?

Doesn't really matter that much, because the point of being early isn't your delegates per se, it's the momentum you build for winning candidates...but does matter a little.

Caucuses aren't penalized because they are not binding--i.e. no national convention delegates are selected.

And this isn't some conspiracy as you imply with the "Ask who benefits?" question.

This penalty was agreed to and put in the party rules at the 2004 GOP Nat'l Convention, waaaaaay before Dr Paul was ever deemed a threat to the establishment.

This has already been discussed here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=33449

I don't recall implying a conspiracy. I'm just pointing out that WE do not benefit. And, what does that mean? I believe that it means that we'll have to work that much harder to get the TOTAL NUMBER of delegate votes, no?

Has NH announced the date for the primary yet? I thought it was suppose to be announced on Nov 5, but I haven't seen anything posted on here.
