I seem to remember another time in history in another country where this phrase was used: "Papers please?"

Are we about to watch history repeat itself?

Are there any movies that show what the U.S. will be like in 50 years or so if we keep this crap going?

I believe the movie is British. I need something in the USA or my wife will just ignore it.

There seriously needs to be a movie about the USA in present times and how it becomes a police state with regards to things that are currently happening. Call it 2084 or something... Otherwise most Americans will just dismiss it.

To those of us always willing to think the very worst of government, it was never crazy.

This will be everywhere before too much longer.

A few of us on the lunatic fringe will grumble and impotently bitch, the other 99 percent will placidly comply and tyranny takes another huge step further down the road.

There will be no resistance.

These departments like TSA and HLS would all be removed under a Ron Paul presidency would they not? Doesn't he have the authority to remove them?

And can't Ron get rid of the FCC as well?(perhaps this is another reason the msm is worried?)

No, they would have to be dissolved through an act of congress repealing TSA's authorization.

He could veto their operating budget each year.

absolutely.

the main thing about a Ron Paul presidency, i believe, would the courage that people would gain from it. Ron Paul embodies all that is courageous and steadfast.

when one lives in a country of impotent spineless leaders, one tends to be an impotent spineless follower.

In watching those videos, I'm thinking this is the dynamic:

LEO asks question
Citizen counters
LEO presses, thinking Citizen will cave
Citizen doesn't cave
LEO concludes Citizen is innocent BUT presses, believing intimidation will rule
Citizen doesn't cave
LEO caves because they don't want to do the paperwork involved in actually taking someone into custody.

What do you think?

I'm working on one but it might be some time before I can begin production.

Wait a minute, I thought that HLS was a completely presidential creation. If not, then what was a presidential creation?

HLS=DHS maybe?

Maybe...that was created by an act of congress as well.

Bush was able to use executive power to create the cabinet post of DHS director prior to that act though.

Every time I hear that stupid word, "homeland" I can't help but think: "because Fatherland and Motherland were already taken."

It's more like Disneyland...I truly believe Epcot (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow) was designed to acclimate people to this futuristic hell. It was my first impression upon entering this place some 25 years ago.

With globalization at our door steps, it's a small world after all!
