It was an interesting interview to get some insight into how she goes about finding stories. She probably is correct about folks wanting to get their news from biased sources nowadays (specifically wanting the journalists to provide commentary on what to think about a news story), but did anybody else find that kind of... sad?? I mean how often do we get annoyed by Dr. Paul getting interviewed and the interview disintegrates into the megalomaniac "journalist" twisting his words around to prove some kind of "point" that underscores their own personal political belief system.

Student Of Paulism

Haha, the guy was so clueless with the Skype/Twitter/Facebook stuff, pretty much shows the older crowd has no idea what is going on when it comes to the internet and why most of them love Doughboy Gingrich so much since the papers and MSM rarely peel back the rotten onion that he is.

Great stuff though, i watched the whole thing and definitely agree with a lot of it for sure. The TSA at Pepperdine and how so many werent aware of what it is, again, just proves how many people are asleep and clueless about what is going on, so i sure hope you spread the message more on stuff like this and what our society is turning into (a gestapo police state). And wtf, that guy saying RP never ran anything but a medical practice!? HELLO!!? I guess he forgot about his 10+ terms in congress since 1976  That pissed me off lol.

Heck, maybe there is something you can do within the RP Campaign, who knows :D

Lol what a lurker you were here too, since 08. That probably is the record for longest sign up without a post!

So, I just finished the whole interview. First, congrats on your position and landing a job so quickly upon graduating! Second, excellent job with the interview! You seemed very natural to it, and not nervous or anything, and were well-spoken.

As for the opinions thing, I kind of wonder why no posting here on RPFs, if you want more opinion based news and hope to be an anchor one day...
Perhaps a "news forum" for debating would be healthy, but I'm sure if you've been around long enough, you see we debate each other/argue very often...which is why I'm on my second account right now. :D

Anyway, congrats again, and thanks for sharing the video.

"He's never run anything besides a medical practice"

How can someone be so ignorant

A veteran, a congressman, a Medical Doctor, he's studied Austrian Economics, he knows our constitution inside and out, he predicted the housing bubble, and many other things. That's the first time I ever heard anyone claim Ron Paul didn't have the credentials to be in office.

No one said this stuff about Mista Pizza Man Herman Cain

Beautifully done. For future reference: 12 terms = 24 years ;)

Also, when asked about age, remember the bicycle challenge. I think that's an extremely strong rebuttal. Here's (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9NfOIsPFTM) 23 seconds on the topic, including his challenge quote. It's easy to do 10 seconds on the challenge and change "too old" to "best physically able" in people's minds. I won't script it for you, you're a journalist, write your own lines. :D

I started reading the forums back in 2008 and would lurk on here all the time. I was overwhelmed because I didn't really understand monetary policy. I think I was intimidated and just beginning to learn. Plus, I'm not one to get in facebook, twitter, or online forum arguments. Often times when I disagreed or needed clarity on some of the stuff that was posted on here I would go to my brother (michael fields) who is much more informed than me and he explained it.

I read ronpaulforums and reddit regularly, but never post. Instead I annoy my brother to death with questions and he then gives me book or article recommendations.

Tod

I watched the whole interview and found it very interesting and worthwhile.

One statement you made has me wondering, and that concerns what people want from their news. My own view concerning bias is that I'd rather just have facts without the bias. I'm glad when I see news articles that are favorable towards Ron Paul BECAUSE there are so many stories that try to put him in a negative light. I'd prefer that news was just news, but if news is generally biased, then it is good that there are sources with opposing bias. Editorialism is preferably a separate category, imo.

Regarding the interviews about donating to the treasury, no editorializing was needed because the question and answers provided information for viewers to draw their own conclusions. The question was a very good one because the answers yielded a lot of information that had previously not been publicized.

Thanks for your work!

I wonder if the police that knocked the OP down at OWS knew that she was a journalist? (the fact that there was someone nearby w/ a videocamera wouldn't necessarily have registered with them, I wouldn't think.

I wonder if their behavior with her would have been different if she had been an immediately recognizable figure, such as Chris Wallace? Did she have a "media badge" that they would have seen?
