Our school allows our newspaper (which has won nation recognition before) to advertise businesses. However, they will also allow political ads. The prices they have is approximately $40 for 1/8 of a page, $140 for half a page or an insert, and $250 for a full page ad. This can get exposure to 2800 students and their parents. Is anyone willing to help me do this?

I was thinking a full page ad would get the best exposure. But for this, I need help in donations as well as designing an Ad that can be best targeted at teenagers. Anyone think this is a good idea?

If you're wondering, the school is John W. North High School in Riverside, CA (very democratic, but also very anti-war and pro-freedom).

Oh and of course I will post scans of the final real newspaper.

Here's a Chip-In for this fundraiser. Thanks for any support you can provide

What is your age demographic?

Also, do you think a 2-sided color flyer insert might be best?

Our High School is 9th-12th so the kids are 15-18 years old. Of the 2800, I would say about 600 or so are 18. However, the ad may reach out much further if you include the parents who read the school newspaper from their kids or the students who tell their parents about him.

For the insert, I think it would get probably more attention, but I'm not sure if it would make it home with the kids because sometimes they fall out or kids throw them away. So the insert will have to be catchy. Also, the insert they require us to provide the 2800 copies of. So that will cost alot more money for color printing.

Not interested, sorry. Kids are simply not into politics and not worth our time. They have the least voter turn out in the election of all the ages.

how about getting into the school newsletter and writing an editorial, or an article about recent going-ons?

You should look into setting up a chip in and seeing what happens...

Ok, I've created a chip-in and am trying to get it on the ronpaulgraphs chip-in page. Thanks for the help. If anyone can create an ad that would be appreciated.

I wouldn't brush them off so quickly. I think this election Ron Paul will bring out the 18, 19 and 20 year olds.
