How do you know your presidential campaign has legs in Iowa?

For Ron Paul staffers, it came with the realization that the crowds the congressman now draws can no longer fit into the confines of a Pizza Ranch.

"We can't do a lot of the venues that the other candidates can," Paul's Iowa co-chairman David Fischer said Thursday. "The Pizza Ranches are out."

"The crowds have just been incredible," Fischer said. "There's a lot of undecided voters who are curious about Ron Paul coming to these events."

I love how it's impossible not to say front-runner next to Ron Paul's name now.

Rand Paul spoke at a couple Pizza Ranches in Iowa right before the straw poll. I was able to make it to one of them. Most of the audience was made up of the Paul family, who are wearing white shirts though. :p

It seemed to me like it was similar to the Pizza Hut buffet restaurants in terms of layout. I didn't try any pizza though.

Pizza Ranch is really tasty stuff. It's like Godfathers (sorry) in format, all-you-can-eat buffet -or- order from a menu. We tend toward the all-you-can-eat version.

The pizza is good, but what seals the deal for me is the WAFFLE FRIES covered in CHICKEN GRAVY.

Frappin' TASTY!!

Im from NJ and as much as I hate going to NYC, youre absolutely right.

The pizza in NJ is really good.. But the NYC pizza is off the chart, over the top, unbelievably good.

Its the water..

NYC tap water is #2 for purity in the whole country, just under poland spring which is #1. (these are old figures but Im sure theyre still applicable)

At first I thought he put ranch on his pizza. But I guess its a restaurant name. Anyone else put ranch on their pizza like I do? haha

Drex, I was thinking the same thing. And of course I put ranch on my pizza. I think the better question to ask is , who doesn't?
