What would be a more Christian behavior:
1. Beating your neighbor up preemptively, out of concern that he might have the capability to attack you sometime in the future.
2. Recognizing that the reason your neighbor hates you may have a lot to do with your aggressive behavior in the past, and repenting of said behavior.
Which is the more Christian attitude:
1. Pride (I'm the best in history! Everybody else better be thankful I'm around! I'm exceptional -- the normal rules don't apply to me!)
2. Humility (I should take care to treat others the way I would want to be treated.)
