I have a great thought. A massive rally in Iowa with Iowans who support Ron Paul. This would have to be Monday, or Wednesday and it needs to be THOUSANDS of people. Iowans need to stand up and remind the pundits that they do matter, that they are Americas first voice in an election. Anyone able to work on this? Ideas? Comments?

Love it! Is there enough time to organize it to ensure enough attendance? My only fear is the late notice and the holidays resulting in low attendance and maybe painting the wrong picture

Ron paul could hold a rally on christmas and tons of people will come...and not just jews and muslims...

Edit: Not that there is anything wrong with being a jew or a muslim...its just ya know, they generally don't celebrate christmas and all...

He should call it the Grand Iowa Rally. Hold it a few days before the vote. Stream it live on the internets...put it on youtube the "super-brochure" the link.

And it must be huge, like in an area. He can give a grand speech!

Seriously, no other candidate could fill an area. Ron paul can, why isn't he taking advantage of this. He could even SELL tickets to the grand iowa rally, it would be so good for energizing supporters and winning over fence sitters.

This sounds like an amazing idea. I wonder if there is time to organize it, though.

How about voting in the caucus and showing support for Ron Paul then? :) It's only 2 weeks away.. You can hold a rally afterwards in triumph =)

I think that's an outstanding idea!

I am sure that will happen too. For now, though, it's about raising moral and telling the establishment that no one is backing down. It's an important mentality to go into the caucuses with. We don't want people staying at home because they don't think their votes count. Getting them to a rally(or just seeing the rally on tv) will help them feel that it does.

If you're looking for a 10k plus venue - Wells Fargo Arena (http://www.iowaeventscenter.com/)is the place. Jan 2 would be best, National holiday, a lot of people off, 1 day before the caucus.

What about making it a Ron Paul New Years eve party?

CaneforLife

If they do it at the Wells Fargo Arena it'll cost a shitload probably. Outside might be best, but then you're dealing with the cold and maybe snow/wind.

Is somebody already coordinating this? This needs to happen ASAP, closer to the Caucus would be best...

i think everyone is pumped enough. resources should be used to ensure gotv is covered, rides are prepared, and calls are made to all voters.

Ron could potentially draw over 5000 if organized well enough, that would make news all over the country....DO IT!

Don't want to be Debbie Downer -- but why not let their vote speak?
Too close to Christmas -- messing up even "phone from home"

That would be no problem if the event doubled as a fundraiser.

Wells Fargo Arena in the Des Moines area is the BIG arena you want. Slightly smaller, Val Air ballroom

I love all these ideas. Like New Years Eve party. I typed them all out here, before it was too late.

Anybody with MONEY just needs to contact venues and lay it on the line.
