ANKENY, Iowa –2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul attracted sizable crowds at all four events held on the first day of his two-day, far-reaching visit to Eastern Iowa today.

Paul’s Lee County event, held in Fort Madison, yielded 225 people. His noon Henry County event in Mount Pleasant and his Washington County event in Washington attracted more than 200 people each. Paul’s Quad Cities event in Bettendorf yielded a remarkable more than 800 people.

“The first day of Ron Paul’s visit gave us another glimpse into what a Paul presidency would look like, with voters asking how this re-acquaintance with economic and personal liberty would affect ‘me’ during the transition. We hope Dr. Paul’s promotion of this philosophy, his ‘Plan to Restore America (http://iowaforronpaul.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=af10358490fc15b52a962f667&id=c291c315e1&e=faeada51fb),’ and his candor is contributing to an atmosphere conducive to a strong top-three showing at the January caucus,” said Ron Paul 2012 Iowa Chairman Drew Ivers.

The abovementioned appearances are listed in the order they occurred, and each event was a town hall meeting featuring a speech and Q.&A.

Details of Ron Paul’s public schedule tomorrow follow. All times Central.

I was at his stop in Washington yesterday and I got there 30 mins early. All 75 chairs that were set up were filled so me and some friends just stood in the back of the room. Shortly later there was no additional standing room and people began to stand outside the room to listen. It was great to see. I would estimate 200 people showed up in Washington which is a town of 7,500. Iowa is Ron's.

Huckabee won a county with 284 votes...

Remember this people when you are doing phone from home and you only reach 14 people. That is 5% toward winning a county. Only 20 people doing the same thing wins a friggin county.

Awesome! I'm hoping PA gets to see some loving when our election is near. I'm anxious to see how Ron Paul handles coming back to where he grew up.

Liberties time has come once more, and the media, try as they might, cannot stop it.

Had someone waved the budget in front of his face, who knows what would have happened?

I'm sure there are some New-Romney people in the crowd who came to listen though as in not all are Paul supporters.

Reports on Twitter say 2 people stood up to ask questions, 1 a Democrat and 1 an independent. Both said how much they support and love Dr. Paul!
