The man had been a lone voice fighting for my INDIVIDUAL rights and liberties. For this country to return the favor by labeling him a racist. This very thought makes me want to leave this country. If, God forbid, Ron loses because of this 'racist' bullshit I have no doubt in my mind that I will leave this country. I don't think I will able to proudly call myself American.

After I think about how much he has done, how much he was ridiculed for being the lone vote, for how much he sacrificed for this country. For how much he put his on person on the line for the cause of liberty. I think it is time to show these media elites that WE THE PEOPLE will never forget what Ron Paul did for us. And WE THE PEOPLE will never forget what the MEDIA did to US by lying or promoting the lies of the Iraq War and so much more. When was it that the media ever apologized for the thousands of Americans dead in a war of lies. I will never forget.

I think it is time to show the power of WE THE PEOPLE. I ask everyone that the time is NOW. All side-lined RP supporters, the TIME IS NOW. The war has begun, the tree of liberty is under fire. Let us unite and FIGHT with everything we have. Get on that Phone-from-Home program. Donate every penny you can.

I've already defended him once--my friend is a Fox Business contributor (he's a Fed economist, I know I know) who immediately brought up the newsletters at a party the other night. He's a smart guy but fumbled around a bit with his accusations. Honestly, the argument is very weak and the guilt by association tactics are easy to counter.

And that is what has me deeply worried and scared. When I thought Ron had a bad debate performance (and even though I was wrong) it was just a freaked out feeling. I don't feel freaked out, I feel weak....I feel scared. I just have a horrible feeling about this. Ron is getting more attention than he has ever got combined in the past, and now they are rehashing these stories they asked last go around..most people ignored Paul last time. Now they are giving attention to him because they are so scared he will win the Iowa Caucus. This is going to get very brutal. Extremely brutal. I feel paralyzed on this one.

The good news is that the story doesn't seem to be "sticking." Practically every major media outlet has popped up with coverage of the newsletter thing to try to swat Dr. Paul's numbers back down again, but the spark doesn't seem to have ignited in terms of catching the public imagination. Last year, after Maddow did her hatchet interview with Rand about the Civil Rights Act, the story really caught on and you saw an article about it make the front of Google News every day for the rest of the week; they're publishing a lot of hit pieces about this, but it looks like it's falling short insofar as making a serious public splash is concerned.

Hold on a second. There are major differences between the Cain stuff and this current smear attack. In the Cain scandal, there were people coming forward accusing Cain of stuff, and then the media reported this. In this "newsletter" nonsense, there isn't anyone coming forward and saying that Paul wrote those things. All that is occurring here is the media and establishment lying and saying or trying to promote the idea that Paul wrote that stuff. But they have no evidence, and in fact all of the evidence shows that not only did Paul not write the stuff, but was largely and completely unaware that those words were being written.
Also, lets not overstate the magnitude of what was written. Sure, the stuff is bad, but its not like its absolutely horrible. There is no use of profanity. And not to make a defense for the words, but the general public actually felt similar to some of those words. Let's not forget how bad those riots were and the reasons and crimes that were committed in that instance. I'm in no way defending the words at all, but lets not overstate what was written, I've heard a lot worse. And again, Paul has never used words like that. This story has no legs because there is no audio tapes out there or video or anything where Paul uses that type of language. Why? Because he did not write the stuff. Enough said.

I don't know for certain because I was just told that the NY Times had contacted Black and interviewed him for a piece for the paper possibly next week. I was also told that he said that Paul was not a racist or "white nationalist", but that some of Paul's positions, such as the Federal Reserve, he liked.
