I wish I could have more, but trying to do them when possible. I am also leary of calling anyone after 8PM, so that limits my calling time to weekends and lunch break time.

Thanks for helping. Calling between 8-9pm is not bad. If you are concerned with calling late, stop at 8:45

1000 calls this past week

I've had people tell me its too late when it was 8:20 and also around 7:50. I usually try to stop around 7:30.

What a great day to do some phonebanking! Get in your last minute calls before we have some off-calling days for the holidays.

I've made 130 calls so far TODAY.

It's really easy to multitask. Just let it ring, and when someone answers, you talk to them.
If you're sitting in front of your computer anyway... don't just sit there... help Ron Paul win!

Great job! I made 65 so far. People are home today, probably off for the holidays.

Get on the phones! We are still finding Ron Paul supporters that we haven't ID'd in Iowa. We need everyone's help.

That's what I am talking about!

Sidenote: seems people are out to lunch now. My pick-up rate just plummeted in the last half hour.

This is one of the main reasons we are polling so well. This is why the media establishment is freaking out and on a smear campaign. We are impacting their monopoly control of the presidential election.

To keep the heat and pressure on the establishment media, sign up to start calling if you have not started yet and keep calling if you already are.

Going forward, many more volunteers are needed to keep polling well in the coming primaries like South Carolina and Florida. Numbers do matter. This is how we will WIN.

Does anyone have the full script and poll questions to ask? I like to be prepared or know what I'm going to be saying before I have to say it.

I haven't made a whole lot of calls (like 30) and the closest thing I got a survey response was someone yelling "I already told someone else, I'm not voting!" and then hung up. So I haven't had the chance to see the rest of the survey.

I sent a message to Doug Wead requesting "Phone-from-Home Personal Stats Badges" that can be embedded into the sidebar of one's blog, forum signature, website, etc.. (sort of like yelp's review badges for businesses).

The way I see it, being able to share personal performance stats is the kind of 'social capital' that Ron Paul supporters live for. Badges would update in real-time and could display just the number of phone calls made (since I'd imagine that the campaign would prefer to keep the number of 'successes' private).

Doug said "Great idea. I'll see if they can do it."

So hopefully, they can - imagine the 'positive peer pressure' that thousands of RPF members and DailyPaul readers could have if they could 'show off' their call stats within their signature, profile page and/or blog. :)

I suggested a big ticket for total calls made but the response I got was that they want it private. I agree with you though

I made a personal decision to not call on Christmas Eve and Christmas. Haven't heard from the campaign, but it just "seems right" to me not to call until Monday.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

I put "none" in the poll, but I will probably have a slow week at work next week, so maybe I'll give it a try.

25 years ago, I was a "professional" phone solicitor and hated it. Vowed to never do it again.

But maybe I'll try a few calls and see how it goes.

I plan on starting tomorrow as I had not heard about this until yesterday. Can someone clarify: does this cost money (long distance, etc.) or is it paid for by the RP campaign?

Cachemaster,

Here's a brief rundown of how it works: You do have to provide your own long distance. You call directly into a computer service at Ron Paul HQ, then the computer connects you with the numbers being called in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, etc.

There is no "selling" involved; you just ask a few questions in a simple survey. As the person responds, you click off the answers on your computer screen. If there is no answer or the call is picked up by an answering machine, there are response buttons to click for that too.

As far as long distance goes, if you have a "friends and family" calling plan, you can add the Ron Paul PFH number to the plan so you'll have unlimited calling... or you might consider altering your phone service to include unlimited calling if it doesn't change the plan's cost too much.

Here's the official Phone from Home FAQ:
http://phone.ronpaul2012.com/v/faq.php

I know there is also a Facebook page for the PFH program, but since I don't use Facebook, I'm not sure where it is. Anyone have that link?
