Ron Paul Supporters in Sheep's Clothing

Running a positive campaign from inside out is noble. But when supporters take campaigning into their own hands, all bets are off.

All is fair in love, war and New Hampshire Primary politics, apparently.

Disguised as Newt Gingrich supporters – at least from a distance – the colorful group holding hand-painted signs outside the Radisson Hotel in Manchester were actually Ron Paul supporters, hoping to point out why Gingrich is the wrong man for the job.

"Just call me Newt Supporter 505," said one woman holding a large cardboard "Adulterers Anonymous for Newt" sign.

"Call me Newt Supporter 501," said another woman, whose sign read, "Draft Dodgers for Newt."

Their signs picked at some of Gingrich's most notorious personal and political scabs – in addition to the digs at his past marital infidelities, his avoidance of military service and his payday from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the anti-Newt faction also thanked him, via signage, for his support of the TARP bailouts, which he initially was against.

When asked point blank "who they were," they all said they were totally there for Gingrich.

"We divorce lawyers love him," said another woman, holding a sign that read, not surprisingly, "Divorce Lawyers for Newt."

However, when pressed a little bit later, one of the women admitted to her status as a Ron Paul supporter, and took responsibility for the "Newt/Pelosi" signs lining the walkway to the Radisson – another swipe at Gingrich's past, and the time he filmed a bi-partisan Global Warming PSA with Democrat Nancy Pelosi, which he later renounced.

As the crowd of Gingrich supporters filed out of the Radisson ballroom and into the hotel foyer following Gingrich's hour-long stop, the protestors were waiting, lined up in full view on the sidewalk, just on the other side of the large glass windows.

While their anti-campaigning was definitely pointed, the group remained upbeat and tried to keep it as negatively positive as possible.

"If you love war, you will love Newt," one protestor said brightly, waving her sign in the direction of a passing motorist. "Who doesn't love Newt?"

romney supporters don't care about facts. they like his hair and they think he can beat obama. that's all they care about

newt supporters just like newt because he's not romney; so they are sway-able

Wrong.

People like newt (His name doesn't deserve to be capitalized) because he reminds them of toaster strudel.
