Who is/are your least favorite talk show host/hosts? I would have to put Lawrence O'Donnell and Bill O'Reilly at the top of my list. O'Donnell is virtually a pink communist whose attempts to get 'tough' and 'serious' are laughable. If you have ever watched his show you know what I'm talking about. O'Reilly meanwhile, is such a smug arrogant jerk. His actions have been well documented here and many other places. Close behind is Chris Matthews, who is an elitist scum. And I have to add Al Sharpton since he now has a show as well. Just my opinion.

I know that Fox also has terrible commentators, but the people on MSNBC in general annoy me much more.

Is radio included? The man in the underground bunker with his gay porn stash, Mark Levin, tops my list.

Yes Maddow is terrible. But O'Donnell is still worse in my opinion.

LEVIN.

One simple reason.
I know intelligent, articulate people who are fans.
Levin has truly mastered the Beck trick: give people enough crystal clear water that they probably don't notice the dog piss he's cutting it with.

Al Sharpton has a talk show now? I don't watch or listen to any of them. They all tend to be sensationalist for their causes.

Levin, definitely. I can't listen to him for more than three to four seconds at a time. If he gets more than one complete sentence out before I turn him off, I feel like a failure for the rest of the day.

Chris Matthews weekend show on NBC (not MSNBC) actually isn't bad - more of a political analysis show than a liberal mouthpiece:

O'Reilly probably has the worst influence and is very much a big government Republican like Bush Jr., so I'll have to go with him as the worst of the bunch.

The talking heads in any media are incredibly boring. I only listen to podcasts with any regularity. The only reason I've paid attention to Rush and Hannity is for opposition research.

On a historical basis, Walter Cronkite was pretty bad. He knowingly lied about the Vietnam War, and came out on TV claiming that we were losing the war when it was in fact still winnable. Without "the most trusted man in America" deliberately distorting the truth about Vietnam, there probably wouldn't have been the massive number of protests that split the country apart and really allowed the far left to sink its teeth into our culture to the level that it has. There would have been protests anyway, there were before Walter's segment about Tet, but they really picked up after that segment. Walter very well could have been the powder keg that set off the year of revolution that was 1968. And he finally later in life admitted that he had an "agenda" when broadcasting the news. And he also openly called for world government. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heegk07026I

Although he doesn't have a show anymore, Keith Olbermann definitely deserves an honorable mention. He wasn't quite as terrible as O'Reilly, but close.

I think it's a tie between Levin and Bill O'Rielly for first.

At the moment I might give Dick Morris second even though he's not a talk show host.

1. Mark Levin- rude, openly dishonest piece of shit, warmongering petulant child
2. Glenn Beck- very covert distorter of our message and a war propagandist, also openly dishonest
3. Sean Hannity- used to respectfully disagree, now just lies and spewed the same talking points over and over again
4. Bill O'Lielly- "WE'LL DO IT LIVE! FUCK IT!"
5. Olbermann- not relevant anymore, but still a prick
6. Matthews
7. Maddow
8. Levin
9. Beck
10. Hannity

Honorable mention: Hugh Hewitt- doesn't make the top 10 because I don't think a lot of people know who he is, but he's a lot like Levin

Anyone who isn't Cafferty or Cavuto, pretty much.

The worst are O'Reilly, Levin, and Hannity, Olberman, Maddow, Matthews, Schieffer, Amanpour, Cooper, I'm sure I missed a lot that I loathe...the "electability, do you have any?" guy should be well up on the list....

The thing with the Levin is that Ye seriously sounds like he has a personal hatred for Ron Paul as a man for not being pro-war. Something is wrong with him.

Pretty much the only radio personality I can stomach for more than a segment at a time is Mike Church.

I actually like Neil Cavuto, because he's dull and not a sensationalist. I don't "agree" with him on everything, but his personality makes that okay by me. He just seems like a nice guy.

I like Alex Jones, too, but I take most of what he says with a grain of salt (steady, Jones-heads, I'm not saying I don't believe him... just that I don't take everything that comes from him as though it's gospel... ;) ).

Vietnam was never winnable. I would hope that a longer occupation in a similar situation, still going on today, which has precisely zero media personalities even saying boo to it, would suffice for evidence.
The other stuff you mention definitely puts Cronkite in the running for worst, but let's not pretend that unprovoked invasions are ever appropriate, let's not pretend that resistance of any sort to undeclared wars is necessarily a bad thing, and let's not pretend that military action with no concrete goal is ever "winnable".

If we had even a single media personality saying and showing the same stuff about Iraq and Afghanistan, we'd have been gone for years at this point.
