Would it be possible to set up texting donations. Just think how easy it would be for people to donate. I know some money would be lost going to the phone company or someone else but I believe a lot of money can be raised. Everyone who has a cell phone could be a potential donor. I have no idea how to do this, but i'm sure someone does.

Probably not possible with the FEC filing requirements.

However a lot of people these days have smart phones which they can use to donate through the normal form.

Cell phone hacking and smartphone corruption through apps is just too easy. I would personally be cautious until the technology has been crash tested enough times for companies to have had to build strong protections.
