So a poll came out today in Virginia. Nothing interesting about the numbers, but something in the article had me wondering..

As Republican presidential candidates race to meet Thursday's deadline to get on Virginia's primary ballot, a new poll out Wednesday shows Newt Gingrich topping opponent Mitt Romney in the state.

The results come the same day Gingrich travels to Virginia to try and collect the 10,000 signatures needed to secure a spot on the ballot for the state's Republican primary on Super Tuesday - March 6.

"The challenge for us is to get the popular support organized fast enough- we barely made it in Ohio, we may barely make it Thursday in Virginia," Gingrich said at a campaign stop in Iowa on Monday.

Anyone have any info?

Sources in the Republican Party of Virginia tell ABC News that the only other candidate they’ve heard from aside from Romney and Gingrich is Ron Paul, whose campaign also reports crossing the 10,000 signatures mark.
