Seems to me that Bachmann is making a lot false claims or simply distortions in this campaign....perhaps she has been getting away with it or perhaps she underestimates her opponents. Maybe she doesn't care and is acting like the media...tell falsehoods, hope no one catches you, and if they do, say it was taken out of context, or I misspoke..or point to some other source...glad someone is checking this stuff. Van Platt (spelling) wants her to drop out, LOL

Hmmm...someone with FB needs to correct Ben on Ahmadinejad saying he did say "Israel should be wiped off the face of the map", becaue he has in fact, never said that.

Also, he says several times that Ahmadinejad would/could do this/that...also untrue, he has almost no power there.

Exactly, the whole Ahmadinejad statement of "We will wipe Israel off the face of the map." Is a mistranslation for the purposes of war propaganda. So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in farsi: "Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad." The full quote translated directly to English: "The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time". Word by word translation: Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from).

Besides Ahmadinejad isn't in charge -- Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is. Khamenei has been running the show for years. See, unlike our president, Ahmadinejad doesn't control Iran's nuclear strategy, armed forces or even foreign policy. Ahmadinejad is 14th most powerful guy in the Iran. In addition to Ayatollah Khamenei, he's outranked by the 12 members of the Guardian Council. They can shoot down his ideas via veto and get to decide who runs for president in the first place. Mahmoud is just a puppet.

Even if he wasn't just a puppet. Iran has no oil refineries, no Airforce, no Navy, hasn't attacked another country in over 100 years, has no nuclear device, has no delivery vehicle for a nuclear device but according to neo-con warmonger propaganda you must BE AFRAID...BE VERY VERY AFRAID!!! The fear mongering over this non-threat is absurd.
