Look at the graph. Taking from Bachmann/Huntsman?

Does anyone have the polls from 2007? Wasn't John McCain around 13% nationally at this time also?...

Looks like Ron Paul is picking up momentum even before the Caucuses start; I anticipate an even greater jump if Ron Paul wins the Caucuses, regardless of whether the media acknowledges it.

The RCP average for this day four years ago was McCain in fourth at 14.6%. Two points behind the eventual nominee isn't bad IMHO.

We are literally mirroring McCain's rise in the national averages. He started moving up on this date just as Ron has.

WHAT?

Ron has a national ceiling of 10%!
This is an outrage!

Another curious similarity to 2008 is that the liberal press began to speak favorably about McCain when they compared him to the other candidates. It wasn't until after he had the nomination that the switched got flipped and he became the anti-christ.

I'm not sure that had anything to do with McCain winning the nomination, but it didn't hurt. (I've seen some posts about Maddow et al. damaging Paul with conservatives.)

You can certainly expect this tune to change once Newt Romney is out of the picture!
