How about we all change our facebook pictures to us drinking raw milk? We can just label a milk carton "Raw Milk" or something.

Raw Milk for all iowans. I think it'd be a great campaign!

Is "raw milk" really a hot button issue for most Iowans, or just a pet issue with a small minority of Iowans?

If most Iowans are primarily concerned with issues other than "raw milk," this may not be a particularly effective idea.

I get the vibe it is kinda a niche issue, but perhaps it represents something bigger?
I mean, it does easily showcase a government delving into the minutia of people's lives.
I am not sure of how aware the general IA population is of the Raw food movement, but I do know that the people who care are probably close to single issue voters.

It's not about raw milk, it's about freedom of choice

I was actually really excited to hear ron say he wanted to allow raw milk. That's a secret weapon of french and italian food. Unpasturized milk and cheese tastes world better than pasterized

And could you ask for any better narrative for our side?

Mom's standing up for their rights, and showing civil disobedience in support of their Amish farmer friends.

What we should do is empower people already known in the raw milk community who support Dr. Paul. Empower them to spread the world among their fellow raw-milk drinkers.

People respond much better to influence from someone they know, then a stranger. Secondly, randomly spreading the word about Dr. Paul's support for raw milk drinkers to people who either don't care, or have never heard of the issue is a waste of energy.

In theory? See how it looks with the "got milk?" font

Maybe we could utilize a Dairy Cow as our mascot.

Niche issue. Not on anybody's radar. Remember "it's the economy, stupid"? Campaigns aren't won on raw milk. End the wars, balance the budget, restore the constitution - there's all this campaign needs. If that doesn't sell, we're all screwed.

This might help in a place like Maryland and even IA. I say go for it.

WGAF about raw milk? He needs to drop that line out of his speeches.

I agree, try the font from the "Got Milk" campaign.
I'd also say the text below it should read:
It's not just the milk. It's the principle.
(Since for some people, it is all about the milk!)

I disagree, that fact that the Federal government has outlawed something as trivial as raw milk is important.
I don't particularly care about raw milk, but the issue points out how deep the Federal Government is digging into our everyday lives.

The last one makes the most sense with the exploding glass... but I really like the 'not just the milk. the principle' messaging as well.

Raw milk is a great tool to use in appropriate places. An article about Ron's stance on milk is great for me to forward around to a lot of other green minded facebook people (I have a cow and drink raw milk regularly, so do many people I know. This is a GREAT outreach topic for my family).

Anyone familiar with facebook advertisments? We could target people who belong to raw milk advocate groups.

I love the "Raw milk? I don't f-ing think so!" ad --- but I have a few suggestions:
Maybe try a different color of font for the "punch-line" of the ad.
Maybe would drive the point harder if you had small pictures of Whiskey and pop with checkmarks next to them.

I would censor the F word, it will keep some edge to the ad, have the same basic humor but make it less offensive to some. I think it would be pretty funny to have it say, litterally, "I don't 'EFFING think so!".

oh, and the reference to the drinks probably giving you cancer is excellent - are you a part of the natural food movement? Because that line really seems like its coming from an insider.

A harder hitting ad might even talk about corn surip and some of the corruption in the FDA and USDA.
I'm not suggesting that for a widely distributed ad, only for people "in the know" ... most of those people don't vote but the issue is extremely important to them - we could pick up some extra voters here the other candidates don't have access to.
